An ancient manuscript has remained concealed for centuries - within its pages lies the key to the most unholy secret known to mankind.
A sacred brotherhood has sworn, generation after generation, to protect this terrifying truth from those who would use it to unleash doomsday upon mankind. When the unthinkable happens, and the holy scroll is uncovered, the race is on to reveal the true meaning of the cryptic language.
Only one man, Dr. Thomas Lourds, the world's foremost scholar of ancient languages, who we first met in the best-selling novel The Atlantis Code, can safely decipher this most deadly scripture. Lourds soon becomes the bait in the most lethal manhunt - knowing he must confront the true face of evil if the world is to be saved.

I highly recommend it to everyone
You will not be disappointed the only negative thing I can say is that it did not need the explicit sex scenes
A great adventure

What did you love best about The Lucifer Code?
This is a fast paced mystery with understated humor. It made time fly listening for clues which equals entertainment in audio. If you are a heavy mystery fan, than this maybe too predictable for you. See Amazon reviewsWhat other book might you compare The Lucifer Code to and why?
yes, this had all the elements from Indiana Jones and the DaVinci Code but, I was not looking to discover a new best seller author, just good entertainment that was not dark with terror. J.D. reads Dennis Lehane's books which are great but very dark. Unfortunately too dark for me. This author is great as he leaves you wanting to go buy the other reads to continue the professors adventures in audio read by J.Davis.Have you listened to any of Jonathan Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I love J.D. from his Sandra Brown's Mean Streak read. I have hunted out many authors trying to capture J.D. wonderful performance and talented reads. He has saved this series of #2,3,4 which I intend to buy all. I will skip #1 as that reader got awful reviews. J.D. made our hero funny, brilliant and yes sometimes bumbling. JD gives our professor the sexiness the author intended. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
yes, when I realized that great intentions can lead to things lost.Any additional comments?
note: I am a core romance/mystery listener so beware deep heavy mystery fans.Jonathan Davis Gives Great Audio

One thing drove me crazy. In the first book of this series - the reader correctly pronounced the church mosque Hagia Sophia as ah YEE ah so FEE ah.
This reader was allowed by editors to completely mispronounce it every time. Bleh!!
Getting a bit formulaic
