What a fun story! I just love the little gargoyle. this story was interesting while teaching us a little about the museum.

Enjoying these stories.

This is light reading with a fun twist. A coincidence while reading happened which made this all the more interesting. I came upon an article that gave an update on the renovation after the fire. it also contained a history of when the cathedral was started to be planned, and the interesting historical information they are learning about ancient builders expertise. All this added to the birth of a gargoyle. Can't wait to start the next book!

I have not read the others stories in this series, but I didn’t feel that I was lacking because if it. This was an entertaining novelette, that had me engrossed from beginning to end. What a whimsical and original concept! The accidental alchemist and her sidekick, gargoyle companion wind up trying to solve the theft of a Victor Hugo document related to Notre Dame Cathedral (which is now being renovated after the tragic fire). You learn some interesting tidbits about Victor Hugo, his novel (which we know as The Hunchback of Notre Dame), and the cathedral itself. I found it all quite fascinating, and the mystery was cleverly crafted. Top marks! I’ll have to get the other books in the series.

Unique premise (at least to me). A gargoyle chief, who thinks he is a detective, hunt for the story behind the drawing of a gargoyle found after the fire in Notre Dame.

Fun Easy listen

A great quick listen to enjoy while relaxing and waking the dogs! the story kept me engaged and guessing the entire time.
