Oh. MY. LOVE. LOVE. Suspense!

I laughed out loud a few times during this book in the Viking series by Nelson, and I wept too. The author must be a bear on the outside but a marshmallow within. Why? He weaves details of the sea, ships, weapons and excruciating fighting... yet he gives such sweet and reverent descriptions of LOVE - in all forms - that makes us teary upon the hearing. LOVE THESE BOOKS! EXCELLENT NARRATION!

I was turned onto this series by a friend. I am enjoy this saga and recommend it.

Slower start, but picks up very well

Very thrilling once you get past all the seamanship details and story setup. As with the other books, there are multiple sides to every conflict.

The detail of seafaring, war and harsh but steady progress to better lives for future generations, but at the cost of many lives on the way.

FANTASTIC!!

The writing, story, characters & narration are phenomenal!!! Up on my awesome shelf with. Bernard Cornwell & Angus Watson, can't wait for book 4 audio to come out tomarrow!!!

Never a dull moment!

The author keeps the story alive through wonderful story telling and character development. This is a great follow on and I can't wait to read more!
