Resumen del Editor

He’s a massive, mocking, murderous monster. And she's offering him...everything.

In a world of recently warring orcs and men, Maria is desperate for escape. She’s trapped in an opulent prison, tainted by rumours of madness, and wed to a cold, vindictive duke who hungers only for war.

But with no family, no funds, and no hope, there’s nowhere left to run—except for the one place even a duke can’t reach. The place where women almost always meet their doom: Orc Mountain.

It’s a grim, deadly fortress, filled with fierce, bloodthirsty beasts. The first orc Maria meets is the most terrifying of them all. A huge, hostile, hideous brute, hardened by hatred and war, who instantly accuses her of foul trickery, and threatens her with death.

But this orc also wants something...something that kindles deep in his gleaming black eyes, in his rough, rugged scent, in the velvet heat of his voice. Something that just might grant Maria his safety…but only if she grants him everything in return.

Her defeat.

Her dignity.

Her devotion.

Surely a duchess wouldn’t dare make such a shameful deal with the devil—or would she? Especially when surrender might spark yet more war...or bring the mighty Orc Mountain to its knees.

A dark, angsty, full-length fantasy romance. Comes after The Librarian and the Orc in the Orc Sworn series, but also acts as a standalone. Happily ever after guaranteed.

Yes, Yes, Yes, love this series

Hot, sexy Orc's, Lord of the Rings ruined Orc's but this series shows a different side of Orcs; that's why I started listing to this series. The Duchess is a real b#@!#, but the Orc's rocked her world. They are far more intelligent and everything than she expected, can't help but respect them. Yes, I will continue this series, can't wait for the next book. Author continue the series with appearances from previous characters and I love that. The narrator is outstanding, Well worth the credit!!!!!!

Shane East Nails It

I've enjoyed this series, the portrayal of the Orcs' societies and culture, and the struggles with human relations. I sometimes got tired of the unrelenting angst. Shane East gave voice to the Orcs in a way that made them completely believable.

Outstanding

Each book in the series keeps getting better. Finley Fenn weaves intricate stories of fantasy and love. I hesitated purchasing the first book in the series. It was well worth the credit and I went back for the remaining books. Shane East made the book even more intriguing with his perfect narration. He has the ability to seamlessly move from one character's voice to another's with ease. I wish I could give all of the categories more than five stars.

Yet another great one!

Finely Fenn does it again! I love your books, there just doesn't seem to be enough. I would love the backstory of these clans. Starting from the first they read about in this. The book Rosa translated and made for the Orcs library.

Gotta love Simon, gotta love Shane as Simon!

I already love this series so I probably don't need to say too much, assuming that if you're looking at Book 4, you've already read 1-3 :)

We were introduced to Simon earlier in the series, and he had quite a large role in Book 3 (Librarian), so hopefully you come into his story here already loving him. The story of Maria and Simon is complicated in the way that all of Finley Fenn's stories are - the FMC has at least one terrible human man in her life (in this case, husband), somehow she winds up involved with an orc from Orc Mountain (I won't spoil anything!), and there is lots of miscommunication, and details hidden by each person because others around them are also confused, while the FMC has a tough time being surrounded by the new culture of the orcs who she's been told wrong information about all her life. Maria's story reflects situations that many women likely found themselves in years ago (other than the whole orc thing...haha). She and Simon grow in many ways over this story, and satisfying changes that affect more than just them occur over the story for the entire mountain. With every book, we learn more details about the clans and the way the mountain works, as well as details of the world around the mountain. I always enjoy the world-building aspects of Orc Sworn (even though we know a good part of why we read is the smut!).

This book gives us a bigger picture of Clan Skai - both the positive and the negative (and things that may seem one way at first, but are turned around a bit as we learn more and more). It features even more than usual from fan fave Baldr, as well, and a few bigger glimpses at my own fave, Joarr.

Shane East did a wonderful job with Simon, and all the characters' voices. He makes sure to differentiate between orcs like Simon, who grew up speaking less of the Common Tongue, and Baldr, who spent more time living with his human mother as a kid, and therefore whose accent reflects that. He manages to change his way of speaking into a new noble a-hole for each 'villain' in each new book. Can't wait to see how much I detest a human man or two in Book 5 as well!

I’m in my feelings 😩😩 but loved every minute

This is probably my favorite of the Orc Sworn series . Simon the brute, the enforcer and the feared of the Skai Clan. A cunning cleaver Orc meets his Mate Maria as she escapes the life of misery . This story is so complex with so many twist and turns, one minute you think you know but quickly discover that’s not what you thought it was.

Maria gambles for freedom and her existence when she crosses paths with Simon. What I loved most about this story even though Simon is the enforcer a large and strong Orc he has a gentle side . Theres loads of heat , sex, and bodily fluids . Simon takes Maria as his “bought woman “ to give him a son but they discover much more .
In this wonderful story of Simon and Maria we get a deep look into the Skai clan their ways, their teachings . We meet other characters from previous books .
Shane East absolutely nailed this story , he doesn’t disappoint as he delivers this solo narration! Can’t wait for rest of the series to hit audio .

Shamelessly enjoyable.

This a unique and intriguing fantasy romance novel that combines two unlikely worlds. The story offers an imaginative blend of genres and provides an entertaining escape for those looking for something different. The characters are well-developed, and their interactions add depth to the plot. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea due to its unconventional pairing, it's a well-written and engaging story for those open to exploring new literary horizons.

Emotional Damage

Duchess is deeply emotional - I applaud Maria’s drive for revenge, for happiness, to use whatever power she had to gain her freedom and independence. Simon was an absolute sweetheart - my heart broke for him, especially after the scene where Maria sees his handwriting attempts and has her own realizations.

We delve deep into the Skai wing in this book, and learn so much about Simon’s efforts to bring the Skai into the future. Seeing the political machinations unfold and how they tied in to other workings under Orc Mountain was thrilling. Absolutely loved this book.

Finley & Shane are a power duo - Shane is able to pull visceral reactions from me with Finley’s words. The books are so moving, the emotions so vivid—audiobooks are a wonderful way to enjoy the entire Orc Sworn series.
