Like an amazing D&D campaign

So much fun! Great characters, interesting perspectives, deep lore, and lots of fun adventures. 0 spice level, which is refreshing for adult fantasy. Very well written. And, of course, Peter Kenny knocks it out of the park as always!

Well worth your time

I’m only 1/3 through this but I can already say I haven’t been this engaged in a story in a while. Though it’s full of typical fantasy tropes, it does it in a brilliant way, drawing the reader in.

I have pretty high standards with fantasy. There’s a lot of crap out there. This isn’t one of those. I don’t mean that this is the Wheel of Time good, but it’s good clean adult (also for young adults) reading. In some ways it reminds me of pierce Anthony, except I don’t love most of his stuff and this is good.

Interesting magic system but not overbearing; just part of the world that everyone is used to.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review only a third into a book, but this doesn’t have a ton of reviews and I want people to know it’s well worth the listen.

Exciting tale well told

This series takes you to a world of wonder and magic. The audiobook is well done, with wonderful characterizations that bring the story to life.
