This perhaps provides an opening for a truce and a more hopeful future for both the sisters and the queendom, if only Isa would see reason and give up the battle for the throne.

With the two princesses on the run, the Queendom of Myre is on the brink of a revolution. And without Baccha to guide and train her magick, Eva must find a way not only to survive her own metamorphosis, but to unite all the people of Myre, including her sister, by finally taking the Ivory Throne.

Love the swries

While I like the story and enjoy the writing, I did not like the speaker. It look me mo tha to finish due to that. I did not think the voices matched the characters.

This books was a nice follow up. my only disappointment was that the ending wasn't longer. Great book!

The world building is so lush!

I’ve really enjoyed this duology. Amanda writes such a rich and interesting world full of creatures and races and magic that are so unique. The two sisters at the helm of this series are complex. Admirable, annoying, realistic, heroic, bold, all of the traits that you’d actually experience as a sister. I read A LOT of fantasy, and consume A LOT of stories in various forms— yet this series felt so unique and wonderful.

lovely story with a rushed ending

I loved the first book so much that I quickly got this one because I had to know Eva and Isa's fate. This book felt rushed and left me with a lot of questions. I won't spoil it but there's a major plot twist that is never explained and makes the story feel cheap.

Worth the wait!

I am more in love with this duology than I can say! Well written, a relatable story, and women taking autonomy over their own lives. It’s perfect!

The story was good. It kind of just ended. I am glad everyone lived happily ever after but there could have been more. Good story overall.

Rushed ending

I gave it only four stars because the ending seems rushed, almost like the author was over the book and just wanted to get it finished. I would have liked it to go into more details and not skip ahead or skip whole conversations like it did. Overall, I love this book and most of my questions were answered, I just wish the ending was a bit more detailed.

Fun book to read!

I truly enjoyed the narration and the descriptions of every detail from the author. My only dislike was that it ended so quickly! The ending was not as thoughtful as the rest of the book.
