Gripping, edge of my seat exciting.

Incredible talent. Never a disappointment, the author has the skill of keeping every detail working throughout the story. It's amazing how he makes each book better than the last. He is my Favorite author.

Predictable

Michael Connelly uses the same formula in each of his books so it is getting boring. Going to a new author for some intrigue. Really enjoy Connelly but need a break.

Connelly never disappoints!

Mickey is back and performing his best on and off his stage. Excellent writing, as no one will be shocked to see.

Loved this book. I like this author and have listened to most of his books. This one was a lot of fun.

Glory Days

Excellent!!! I am so elated for the series on Netflix and I cannot wait until new episodes. This book was awesome and I have listened several times as to not to miss anything. I will be listening to another book by this author, ASAP.

Narrator

The narrator was hard to understand sometimes .Too deep a voice. Always enjoy Michael Connelly books.

One of the best books ever

I love the unending suspense while the main character, Mickey, who is one of literature’s most likeable characters, works this case. Every milestone realization Mickey makes, and the exciting action leading up to them, is so very interesting and I can’t believe how the author, Michael Connelly, can put all this together. The writing in his books blows me away. It’s like some kind of magic. This novel in particular really grabbed me, and the philosophical thoughts of Mickey at the end gave me those tingles from a profundity that only a very good writer can engender.

Not a fan

A little bit boring, several times I wanted to stop listening to it but just wanted to see how it will end. Also was very much predicted. Not the usual style of Connelly.

Too choppy

It seemed to me there were too many bad guys too much intrigue too much politics but not enough of the warm friendly characters that I know
