Sir Richard calls DCI Billings of Scotland Yard, who calls Major Heathcliff Lennox and ex Inspector Jonathan Swift, and orders them to go and find out what the devil is going on.

Major Heathcliff Lennox - ex WW1 war pilot, 6feet 3inch, tousled dark blond hair, age around 30 – named after the hero of Wuthering Heights by his romantically minded mother – much to his great annoyance.

As with the others in the series that Sam has narrated, absolute perfection! Interesting storyline as always!

Glad to have the original narrator back

and very much enjoyed the Scottish setting and backstory. Looking forward to the next book.

Intriguing plot. Superbly voiced

Glad to have Sam back narrating Ms Menuhin's 19th book. The mishaps at the clan gathering grabs the reader with the first page. Turmoil begins with one murder and continues as more bodies are discovered. Who will end up being the new laird. Can the so-called heirs decide?

Loved the return of Sam as the narrator

Another excellent story in the Heathcliff Lennox stories but made particularly fantastic by the return of Sam Dewhurst-Phillips as the narrator, and the extra lengths the audio team go to with the little dog noises and additional sounds, such as the slight echo when they’re underground or the crackling of the telephone. Loved it!

Mystery Maven

Excellent story, outstanding performance and awaiting the next installment. All the stories by this author are marvelous.
