The Fixer - Sasha and Maxim

I thoroughly enjoyed this book just as much as I did The Director, Ravil’s story. Maxim was great and pretty patient with Sasha. Sasha acted like a brat at times although I understood why with her horrible father. It took them a while, but they finally came together. Kudos to Maxim for hanging in there. Sasha's mother was not such a nice person. She eventually showed her true colors. This book was very good. Benjamin Sands did a wonderful job with the narration.

One of my favorite series

Renee Rose writes wonderful books and I enjoy listening to the narrations of any of them.

The Fixer - 5 Stars!

I absolutely adored Maxim and Sasha’s story!! It kept me distracted when I couldn’t listen to it. I cannot wait till The Enforcer is out on audio because this is one series that I’d prefer to listen to than read. The narrator does such an amazing job bringing this story to life!

Loved it!

Renee's writing is so brilliant. I can not get enough of her books. Maxim and Sasha's story will leave you swooning and wanting more. Total page turning, phenomenal, page for page amazing read. Amazing narration!

An intense tale of drama, emotion, heat and danger

This was an excellent book. I'm just loving this series and was very excited to read Maxim and Sasha's story. I do think that if you wanted to enjoy this book as a standalone you easily could. While characters reappear and events are referenced there are no true stumbling blocks that will make you feel you are out of the loop. I'm not saying you won't be intrigued and tempted to go back and read those other books, but I don't think you have to. As for this book, it is a enticing blend of drama, emotion, danger, twists, excitement, humor, sweetness and steam. I loved Maxim! So cool on the outside and burning with passion on the inside. This dominate man definitely had a sweet side even with the baggage he carried. Sasha, I have to admit I had mixed and complicated feelings about. I spent at least half the book not liking her (Even if I could feel for her) and then another quarter of the book I spent wishing that she was not so darn clueless. Even saying all that though, I could not actively dislike her enough for it to make an impact on the pure pleasure I received from reading this book. These two make the kind of twisty couple that has a start rooted in pure sweetness but their situation and life itself forces their tale into the shade with some very drastic and painful turns. All together, a really wonderful book and solid addition to this must read series. I am very eager for more books in this series to be released, especially Oleg and Story's romance. I enjoyed the narrator's voice and I felt he delivered a very entertaining performance.

Sasha and Maxim

Absolutely loved it just as much as Raviil. They found each other and picked up after years of betrayal and learned to love each other after they were pulled apart when they were younger.

sass and heat

This was caot6ehen I read it previously but the narration brings it to another level of excellence and enjoyment. The narrator's Russian accent made the characters and story come to life. I enjoyed the push and pull and the underlying attraction and connection that couldn't be denied. This author knows how to make a story sizzle. Max's support and protection was very appealing. Sasha's mom was infuriating. Great ending. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was brilliant!! A definite relisten.

Crazy Hot!!

Renee Rose is a master at creating chemistry between her 2 main characters. Maxim is a perfect combination of dominant, aggressive when necessary and gentle with his woman. I've only been getting into these romantic audio books recently and it makes the drive to work way more interesting!! The only complaint is, it threw me off a little when a male narrator is reading the female parts. Even though he does a good job, I would prefer a woman reading the female lines.

The Audio Really Enhanced the Story

I enjoyed the audio version a bit more than the ebook. I think hearing the Russian accents and the words pronounced correctly (I can only assume these things were accurate), brought a different level of enjoyment to the story. Posted below is my review based on the ebook version. I still think Maxim was not as intense as Ravil in the previous book.

I don't think this was supposed to be a dark romance because Maxim was way too nice, too sweet, and too forgiving. After what Sasha did to him I didn't see how be could bring himself to trust her.

Sasha basically got everything she asked for and did exactly what she wanted. I was also surprised that her mother reaped no consequences from her behavior.

After the last stunt that was pulled, Sasha's mother was pretty much rewarded and not held in any type of distrust. Sasha suffered no consequences for keeping secrets from Maxim. I thought she would or should have to work harder for forgiveness.

This book was ok, but not what I expected from a Russian mafia tale.

I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this audiobook.

Not Bad, but not Great either

If your looking for a decent mafia romance to pass the time then this will work. It’s not however one of those stories that grabs you and won’t let go. Characters were a bit underdeveloped and shallow. It’s also not to dark and the sex scenes are fairly well written; most readers will be satisfied.
