Fantastic Prequel!

What a great prequel to the Blaze of Glory series! The plot continues to evolve in this story. The author is really great with her development of characters. The narration was great. I previously read the first 2 books in the Blaze of Glory series and loved them as well! I look forward to the next book in this series and have no doubt that the author will deliver the same awesomeness! . How it all started, the parents love affair

The forerunner of "The Blaze of Glory", this delightful tale tells us of the meeting and relationship of Dec and Elina, the mother of Seth and Tealah. This relationship is what the future books relate to, and gives the reader a better understanding of the love Declan had for his children's mother.
The narrator of this audio rendition, gives a very good impression of Elina's Swedish accent, and adds an interesting aspect to the story.

Elina’s story

Good story. Not a runaway romance. More like a single mom’s struggle. Liked the storyline, not a so much the narrator. Her voice sounded a little older then I thought she she should have been. Thinking her voice is more for the grandmother type.
I want to read this without her voice so I get a better picture.

AWESOME PREQUEL!!

I listened to Blaze of Glory (#1) before listening to this, and really loved learning more about the story and characters. I think the writing for these books is amazing, it captures so much emotion, intensity and longing for both love and family. Loved learning more about Elina, and I'm definitely captivated by this entire series. I'll definitely continue reading more in the series, and think anyone would love these books! Definitely recommended :)

Great Story, Great Narration!

I so enjoyed the story of Elina (Tia and Seth's mom) and her relationship with Declan. I have listened to the Blaze of Glory books and wanted her story. The narration on this book is outstanding. I loved the Swedish (although it sounded Russian) accent of single mom Elina. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. The character of Elina showed so much determination and depth. I loved how she put her children first. This was great background for other books by this author. I definitely will listen to more books by this author and narrator.
