Resumen del Editor

A Lumineth Realm-lords audiobook.

For Lumineth Stonemage Carreth Y'gethin, an Ossiarch invasion of Hysh comes with personal challenges as he faces destiny head-on.

Listen to It Because

Explore notions of destiny and divinity through the lens of the Lumineth Realm-lords in a tale that pits the aelves against Nagash's dread servants.

The Story

Long have the Lumineth Realm-lords held themselves aloof from the troubles of the Mortal Realms. But now, as Nagash asserts his dominion over the living and the dead, the Lumineth must strike back.

For Carreth Y’gethin, a legendary warrior and powerful Stonemage, the war against Nagash is merely a distraction from the Lumineth’s true purpose - to hone their spiritual equilibrium and prevent their realm falling back into the madness that once plagued it. But when Carreth’s sister is horrifically killed fighting the undead, he finds himself inexorably drawn back into the struggle.

As the Ossiarch Bonereapers invade Hysh, Carreth is charged by Teclis himself to defeat one of Nagash’s most dangerous generals, who is destined to destroy the Light of Eltharion, the Lumineth’s greatest champion. The Stonemage must conquer the warring emotions within and slay this champion of Death, lest the light of Hysh fade from the Mortal Realms foreve....

Aelves vs. Bonereapers!!!

Well written and well done story. Nice intro into the new Lumineth Realm Lords. The story was a little predictable but still well worth the read. If you can, listen to the audiobook, do it! The narrator, Barnaby Edwards, does a superb job.

loved this book

Great book. I really enjoyed it and it is a great next book for the lumineth realm-lords. This book has nothing to do with the last realm-lords book so you can listen to them out of order.

A bit predictable but action packed and lorefilled

the main plot is a little predictable but overall the action, insight into the lore of both the Ossiarch and thr lumineth make up for it. performance was quite good convincing accents fleshed out some of the characters.

No Teclis v Nagash showdown??? C’mon

Ok story. Didn’t know some of the LRL had Irish accents… enjoyable but would’ve liked them to not just skip over the biggest match of this fight characterized in Broken Realms : Teclis v Nagash

Standard fare

After listening to the story "Realm Lords" I was really looking forward to more Lumineth action. However if you find yourself with 1 audible credit and not sure which story to get, go with Realm Lords. The story is more compelling and the characters more interesting. While there was nothing terrible about this book, it is ultimately unmemorable in my opinion and only exists to reinforce Lumineth and Bone Reaper tropes, rather than explore and expand upon them.

Slow burn but satisfying and well written

Just got done with End of Enlightenment audiobook. Just like Realm-Lords before this, I really liked it.

Both books were a slow burn with a story that unfurled deliberately, but I find this style of storytelling soothing especially in an audiobook.

Lumineth players will get a good flavor of the army and their fighting style. But what I really enjoyed was the sad story that tied this tale together.

Well done.

A good look at the armies, but light on the story

With so much happening in the Broken Realms narrative arc across Age of Sigmar at the time the book came out, it is a bit of a shame that this story focused on such a small section of that narrative. I get that they are trying to humanize (elfenize?) the overarching struggle, but it still falls short for me in the story area. Characters, and plot are just okay.

That said, it is a fun look at the different units within the armies if you are big into the tabletop game, (which if you are ready a review of an Age of Sigmar book, you probably are). I'd even say it is a better look at the dynamics of the Bonereapers than it is of the Lumineth. Both armies get nearly equal time to shine, and different units are described along with their interactions with different parts of the army. Interesting stuff.

TLDR: Plot and characters are a meh, but fun if you want to read about your miniature units

Great listen for OBR or Lumineth fans

Really enjoyed this book. As an OBR player I really liked the scenes written from their perspective and learning more about their infrastructure. Would reccomend!
