Needs more Arkhan. Interesting antagonist.

Arkhan the Black is the best character in the realm of death. Neferrata was fun too. I wanted more from the story and Nagash, it felt underwhelming for a self titled book to not show him more. There was more road to use with the life and death narrative. Narrator had amazing range and skill.

All will return to Nagash!

Buy this audiobook, for the law of Nagash shall not be broken! If you do he will get pissy!

Great AoS Story

The narrator, Emma Gregory. really nailed the characters in this book! look forward to seeing more from her.

More than expected

A surprisingly compelling story, that gives life (pun intended) to the people of the realm of Death and to the servants of Nurgle.
The exploration of ritual ancestor worship combined with necromancy gives credibility to the workings of the realm of Death.

Loved the characters. Tamra, Neferata, Arkhan, Nagash, Festerbite, and Wallgus were always a joy to listen to. I will miss them and I hope further stories to be published within their story arc.

best warhammer book on my opinion

Great characters having reasonable goals from their perspectives. Story flows very evenly without the reader getting uninterested. Narration is very good as well.

Nice to heard a story not about the Stormcast

Amazing book, I always love when they focus on a story separate of the Stormcast.

It was ok.

Half of it was nagash giving himself a pep talk. at least the nurgle invaders made things interesting.

Very good first time exposure

This is the first Warhammer book I have been exposed to. Oddly enough I decided to give it a try because of my love for the Total War game and love the vampire counts. This was a good story narrated by an excellent narrator. In my opinion the narrator alone is what really made me take the plunge and then ultimately stick with the entire story. I was very entertained and feel this audiobook is well worth the purchase and time investment.
