Extremely captivating! Thrilling, but also thought-provoking, with complex characters! I just wanted to spend more time in the world the author created.

A fresh take on the Zombie Apocalypse

I’m a lifelong fan of zombie fiction, but too often the genre feels stale - same tropes, same heroes, same villains. Jo Salazar breaks that mold. Her protagonist, Quinn, isn’t a noble survivor or a cartoonish bad guy. She’s something far more unsettling: a hero who’s part psychopath. Perhaps a talented Ms. Ripley for the apocalypse. Needy, unpredictable, sometimes terrifying, Quinn keeps you guessing on every page, and that unpredictability is what makes this book so engaging.

The action delivers, with fast “carrier” zombies that will satisfy any genre purist, but the real hook is Quinn herself. You’re never entirely comfortable in her company, which makes the ride all the more addictive. The audiobook narrator nails the role, drawing you straight into Quinn’s twisted headspace.

If you love zombie stories but crave something fresh, don’t hesitate. Grab this audiobook and enjoy some fresh zombie goodness.

Excellent Sequel!

Quinn's adventures continue in the zombie apocalypse and it's just as riveting as the first book. Watching her self-awareness grow as her character evolves is fascinating. Can't wait to see where she goes next in the apocalypse! The narration is excellent and makes me feel like I'm right there in the fight. Two thumbs up!
