The twists kept me wanting to know more about what had happened and what is going to happen.

Long, but worth it! The main character, Maria is so complicated and classy. Like the darker side of Martha Stewart.

Great Combination of Food, Books, and Twists

This book mixes three things I love; food, books, and a story with lots of twists.

Thea is picked to be the editor of the famous chef Maria Capella’s memoir. Thea stays at Maria’s house, enjoys the food with Maria’s family, and works on the book. But something is weird, something’s wrong.

This story is full of lies, pay-offs, and even some murder, but who was the actual murderer?

Sometimes things aren’t as they appear and sometimes they are. You guess what is happening and then doubt it, only to be proven right and sometimes proven wrong.

I loved how Maria named her dishes after whatever she was feeling. It added some humor to a somewhat dark story.

So if you like a book that keeps you guessing and maybe even a little disgusted, this one may be for you.

The turns were never ending!

There were so many twist, I’m still trying to wrap my head around what happened.

Great family thriller

This was a good read. I loved how the story included recipes as well. This book is a story about what it means to put family first, no matter what and what happens when the ones you love most fail to do so. Great read. Good narration.

oh my gosh the end

the story had me till the last 2 hours. after that I could not stop rolling my eyes. everyone was so annoying especially Maria.
