Great edition

I felt this novel expanded upon and improved upon the series. It helps tie in all of the other novels and characters together. Plus the pacing was great and despite a few areas of confusion, it stayed on track.

so many books and only 4 in audio book

I'm just gonna say it. WTF!! where are the rest of the books in audio format!!; I've got over 200 books in my audible plibrary alone from dragonlance, to the complete works of Sanderson, Jordan, everyone loves big chest, wandering inn and side stories, expeditionary force to undying mercenary's, he who fights with monsters, the dritz and dragon Lance series, and even the classics, hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and dinner at the end of the universe, Dean koontz and King, the dune series, and dungeon crawler Carl and countless others.. this series stands out because the magic system feels familiar, but not, it's d&d feel with a new twist make magic fun again. the writing feels mature compared to others in this genre, the books are well written and the audio is fine by one of the Masters in the art. each book in the series is a complete work, that's so rare, most books are 8 hours long the hero gets a quest starts in the quest and as soon as he arrives at the location of the adventure, thank you for reading, the next book will be it in months.. feels like your mid book and there like we need money and have no story idea yet, but this series each book it a completed work, but still pay if the grand series. if this book was another 48h I would still listening as each character is given enough time to build the personality and get invested in them, and from the alkalites to the each wizard there isn't a character with such little depth that you just want to skip to next chapter to read about a better character. every character is a main character and sometimes you get 3 or 4 main characters in the same chapter. most books I might fall asleep for a chapter or two and not even bother going back and know I didn't miss anything. this one I rewind if I miss 5 minutes and good chance I did miss something. don't skip this series, if you liked any of those series I mentioned in the beginning, and you haven't read the prisoner of talblshblah the first book in this series.. find a mirror and reflect on your bad life choices. then reward yourself for making a good decision and go get that book. and then write a review and remind these authors to PUBLISH MORE IN AUDIO BOOK Format, cuz wtf man I can't work and read all day but I can listen and work no problem.

Great sequel

it is a great book with very little low points and a lot of both action and political drama. all the characters and perspectives are great. definitely read if you liked the previous books.
