George the Cyclist

DS Cross and his entire team, his father, and the local priest are in full form and getting better. The author paints each character so vividly I can see and hear them. As with the first book, the ending is more than expected. I had to hear this 3 or 4 times as well and have learned something new each time.

An unusual but believable detective!

This detective is evolving as the series progresses but his discernment never falters. The crimes are believable and almost sad in their humanity. The stories are as well written as they are compelling and the reader’s voice was just right.

Still very good

Everything you might have liked about the first book, you will also find here. We have some character development to top things off, so definitely a good book to listen to.

Tim Sullivan books are always good and leaves you cursing until the end. The cyclist is no exception.

Really enjoyable police procedural

The lead detective’s Asperger’s Syndrome makes him high functioning, very intuitive and detail oriented which the writer conveys skillfully. I skipped book 1 and plan to read book 3 next. George Cross is an intriguing, unique character and I would highly recommend this series to other fans of crime fiction.

DS Cross Mysteries are police procedurals.

The lead protagonist is a detective in Bristol, southwest England. George Cross drives the rest of the force crazy because he is meticulous and agonizingly detailed. He is on the autism spectrum, suffering from Asperger's syndrome. Unintentionally rude and annoying to those around him, including suspects, George has the highest conviction rate in the department—by far. With the help of a devoted partner, George gets the bad guy every time.
