Interesting
Very interesting. Based on a true story. Well-researched. But the narration is overboard on the melodrama. Too much emotion attached to the narration. It takes away from the story.

Great read of historical fiction!
I usually don’t leave reviews but I must for this one. This novel was Devine. The writing, the story, the inspiration! I am a history lover, and like the author, had never heard of Deborah Samson. The narrator did a wonderful job as well. This one will stay with me for a long time to come.

Inspiring
We need to know these stories. Our daughters need to know these stories! Our daughters need to be inspired by women like Deborah who knew they were just as capable as men are and should not be doubted by themselves or others.

Applause! Applause!
Wonderful story and listen. I enjoyed it so much that I lost a night of sleep listening to it. Just couldn’t stop. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Astonishing Story if a Woman who went to War
I had never heard of Deborah Samson before I listened to this book. I served a career in the US Air Force and proudly served. I wish I had made more of an effort to learn the stories of other women who served. This is a testament to the importance of allowing all of humanity to serve in whatever capacity they can. A marvelous testament to the strength and courage of the women who serve.

Amazing story
I couldn’t put it down. And to think that the character’s were in fact real people. So sad we haven’t heard more about this amazing woman in history.
