..Brilliant book which is one of Richard (Koch's) lesser known 80/20 books. I am super conservative with my praise of books but recommend this book to other C-levels with enthusiasm and rigor. Great read for business owners!

I’ve listed to both of his books and they both speak to me on an individual and business level.

Should be titled "How to Start a Business"

Let me preface this by saying that I am, in fact, a Richard Koch fan.

This book is titled wrong. Likely to ride the success of his previous bestseller The 80/20 Principle. There's little about 80/20 / The Pareto Principle in this book. Rather, it's a book about how to start a business as an entrepreneur.

If it had a better fitting title, it'd be a better book – for its intended audience.

It's clear that what Richard is most passionate about in life, is finding (and helping create/grow) great businesses. He's an investor, and his latest books The Star Principle (my fave – it's killer! Highly recommended) and Simplify (one you can skip) are like continuations of this one, the "The 80/20 Individual". His thoughts on what makes businesses successful, are very valuable. Just don't expect more 80/20 nuggets from him than what was in The 80/20 Principle. The only other 80/20 book available, is Perry Marshall's 80/20 Sales & Marketing – which I also highly recommend.

This one? Meh. Not so much. The business-building framework in The Star Principle is a more evolved version of the one he presents in this one.

Title misleading. Narration off putting

I am a big fan of Richard Koch. The book outlines some wonderful concepts, yet it initially seems somewhat repetitive of the original 80/20 book. Then, it focuses on entrepreneurs and the challenges they may face in starting and growing a business. It can be thought-provoking.

The narration was distracting if not annoying at times. The feeble attempt to impersonate others was comical and off-putting. Sorry, Mr. Koch, that did not help with your good work and ideas.

The 80/20 Individual

If you are in business and entrepreneurially minded, this is a great book full of business ideas, strategy and insight by a person who has been extremely successful at creating large amounts of wealth in business.

It is ok

It is ok, a bit out of focus, by jumping form an idea to another, but otherwise it is ok. there are some useful information ....

Fantastic concepts

I love all Richard Koch’s books. This is another impressive and important addition to his body of work.

A complete waste of time

This book (?) easily makes it to my list of top 10 books I wish I had never bought.
It is a total waste of time and money: nothing but extreme mind numbing boring fluff.

Avoid it like the plague!
