Single Mom Romance

Takedown by Nikki Ash is a single mom romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Avery Reid and Christian Leatherman. This is the third book in the Fighting Love series.

I absolutely love Nikki's books. She does an amazing job taking me on an emotional rollercoaster in every one of her books.

I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Mason and Mila. I loved that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Knocked Down to be released on audio so I can get Griffin and Ava's story.

Christian and Avery did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a single mom romance, roommates to lover's romance or contemporary romance.

I absolutely loved Mason and Mila's story. I remember meeting Mila in Clinched and being so excited, knowing she was going to end up with Mason and it was so perfect. This almost felt a little insta lovey at times, but truly their relationship took time and I loved how they got to know each other at first, even if it was as (one sided) secret pen pals.

Mason was so much more broken than I even expected, but I loved him so much for it. His mom was breaking my heart, but the way they ended melted me into a puddle. I was so happy for them both. I did wanna do bodily harm to Mason for a minute when Mila messed up, but I was glad they were able to fix things without a full third act break up.

The audio was great. Avery Reid and Christian Leatherman both did fantastic jobs narrating these characters and I loved listening to this story.

The narrators did a great job I enjoyed listening to them.

This can be read or listened to as a standalone but these characters do appear in the other two. Mason is the sexy playboy MMA fighter that as he refers to catches as releases his conquest. Mila is a single mother who was the nurse when Tristan's daughter was born and then friends with his love interest. She swore she would never be with Mason. While attending their friends wedding these two end up married. Another great story from Nikki I loved listening to these two as their relationship developes and we get to hear why Mason is the way he is.

Takedown is book three in the Fighting Love series. It's an MMA, single mom romance. I absolutely loved the bond and relationship that grew between Mason and Mila. These two are perfectly matched. Their chemistry and tension were fire. This one has so many feels.

Avery Reid and Christian Leatherman did a great job bringing these characters and this story to life.

Sweet Slow Burn Romance

This is the third book in the Fighting Love Series. Mason and Mila’s story is beautifully written, sweet, passionate, and engaging, filled with secrets, drama, and twists and turns. Mason is handsome, caring, and enigmatic. Mila is beautiful, kind, smart, and strong. They are opposites attract, and they are perfect together. Mila’s son Alex is adorable. The supporting characters are great. I loved to see again the characters from the first books in the series. Avery Reid and Christian Leatherman did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Knocked Down, the next book in the series. I highly recommend this series. #PFPAudio

She does it again!

Overall I really loved this book great characters and good storyline. Love seeing the characters from the original series that this was a spin off from. I was glad to get Mason’s story.

My only complaint was I would of liked a little more toward the end on how Mason dealt with his issues and how they worked on it in their marriage, I felt like it was kinda glazed over and went right into their hea.

But overall I loved the build and their relationship and the epilogue was sweet!

Oh man Mila and Mason’s story was so good! The tension was on fire. I loved their chemistry and enjoyed watching their bond grow throughout the book.

Book 3 - Fighting for Love

Oh my! This is series just gets better and better...each book is my favorite, and this is no exception. This is book 3 in Ash's Fighting for Love series and while a wonderful addition to the series, it can be read / listened to as a standalone. I love that our main characters in this book were first introduced to us in book 1, but if you've missed it, that's okay - it goes over this initial intro in this book - but I just love how these two came around. Mason had a sad a difficult childhood that has affected how he treats women and how he guards his heart. Mila is a single mom who's just looking for "the One" and is determined not to settle. the chemistry between these two is fierce and while both are good at avoiding it and maintaining their friendship, that can only last so long - but past relationships and insecurities threaten what could be a perfect union and of course communication is key. I fell hard for Mason and his vulnerability cracked my heart and I love how well Mila was able to read most of what he was struggling with but while it seemed easy for her to read what was going on with him, she definitely had some issues being open and honest with him when it mattered. I love the humor the kids brought to this read and how well Ash delivered hope in some more than difficult issues. Great level of sweet and steam and a beautifully dual narrated, well written and smooth flowing romance. I loved every minute of it and I can't wait for more!

Is there a Nikki Ash book that doesn’t consume me? The answer is no. I swear every single one becomes my new favorite. Takedown is no different. It was such a great story and tugged on all my heartstrings. Mason and Mila are most def my favorite couple of this second gen series. In Takedown you get Playboy Mason with mommy issues and a no single mom rule and hopeless romantic Mila that is a divorced single mom with toxic independency. Mason gets to know Mila on a deeper level from what started as a sort of joke by messaging her anonymously on a dating app. Of course, I’m actually getting to know her, he starts to look at her differently. Things obviously happen and they end up together and married. But all Mason wants is to take care and provide for the people he loves, while all Mila wants is to be loved without being taken care of. Can the two meet a compromise to make their marriage work? Or will their toxic pasts taint their future and wreck everything?

Avery Reid and Christian Leatherman did such a great job on this dual narration performance. I especially loved the emotional scenes and their kid voices!

Takedown is the third book in the Fighting Love series. I have loved this series. Getting to see this next generation of characters becoming adults and parents. Mason and Mila had a rocky start to say the least. Mila was the nurse that helped name Lexi in Tristian's book. Mila is now a single mother that wants to find mister right but doesn't really have the best of luck with men. Mason is a current UFC champion and never wants to settle down. Mason was instantly attracted to Mila when he saw her the first time when Lexi was born. Now it is six years later and a small world. I love their story.
