This was a great boxed set. Grace Hamilton has provided us with characters and story lines that will capture your attention and keep you coming back for more. Chris Monteiro did a fantastic job of breathing life into this series and made it a fun listen.

Never disappoints!

Surviving the End is a series about the McDonald family and their lives after a major solar flare ruins the electronic systems of most the world. The first 3 books follow the family as they come together from where they were stranded when the solar flare hit. The family gathers at their mother house, Beth is a secret prepper and more than capable to help her family survive and thrive in their new lives.
The second 3 books take place a few years after the Event when a wildfire destroys their hometown then they go through a distressing event with a cult ugh. And then to top it all off after that they must face a hurricane!
Due to all their loss of property and family members, grief really starts to take hold and becomes very pronounced in book 6. But as always our characters prevail!
I have always really enjoyed Grace Hamilton's books and was not disappointed with Surviving the End. I definitely recommend this series as well as all of her others.
