This one had me sobbing at the end. The story was heartwrenching and beautiful. The narration was perfect.

Unnecessary dragging on

I liked the story, for the most part, the narrator sounds robotic, and at times the story just drags.

Storyline yes, but UGH…

Give me all the beach themed novels. Every. Single. One! After finishing The Echo Of Old Books I wanted to experience more from Barbara Davis and the storyline of this book does not disappoint. Also, I cringe when I read reviews where the narrator is listed as a reason someone doesn’t enjoy a purchase, yet here I am. 13+ hours of having the most difficult time keeping my attention. Even at 1.1 and 1.2 speed, the gaps between words and lift at the end of words/sentences made it so difficult on the ears. So far, I really like this author and will search out her books. This one may have been better as a page turner than a listener tho.

I had to stop listening to this audible and buy the book. Tiffany Morgan is Terrible! I've heard children that read with more expression. Will not recommend any book that Tiffany Morgan Narrates.

The lies

It's hard to believe you couldn't go to your husband and tell him the truth
He has the money and the power to fix things but it was another time.

Very distracting narrator

I rarely leave reviews, but I barely made it through this book. I have listened to hundreds of hours on Audible, and never been so distracted by a narrator. She has a very automated way of speaking, kind of like listening to a GPS voice. The story was great, though!

The narrator almost made me quit this book. I’m certain it’s AI. I increased the speed to make it bearable.

The story is good and I like Barbara Davis books. Would have rather read this one vs audiobook.

Wonderful Book

The story line was great. The writing was wonderful. The performance was excellent. I really enjoyed it.

robotic narration

I couldn't get past the narrating to get to the story line. Seems like a good plot, I might take up the physical book later down the road. But I can't even finish this autio version.
