Amy Foster considers herself lucky. Horror for suburban housewives

It was funny but gave me the Real housewives of evil possession. Lol. I would recommend anyone who likes horror and comedy.

October Bookclub pick

Not really my genre “horror chick lit” but I really enjoyed it. It was a fun read!!

I did not laugh

I was hoping for a light funny book but it never really got funny. Very caught up in the mundane.

Super Fun Horror

This was a light easy to listen to captivating story that I throughly enjoyed while walking in the morning!

Loved it!

It was not what I was expecting but I loved it! It had some funny parts and very relatable motherhood scenario. A great story about friendship and a little like Idol hands or Jennifer’s body!

Super fun, spooky and well told!

I loved how I could relate to the characters in the book, I could easily picture each character and their personality like I was watching a movie. It was very relatable, funny and witty. Well written and spooky! Minus the evil that happens it could have been a story of my own suburban neighborhood and friends. Fun read!

Fun but nothing special

Grabbed this during the latest audible 2-for-a sale, and gave it a go on a long drive for Spooky Season.

Let me say that I know today’s traditional publishing is all about likening books to others (some agents even ask for it when querying), but this one says Bad Moms meets My Best Friend’s Exorcism and unfortunately it’s so spot on that it feels almost as if this book exists simply to be those two things blended. It does not read at all unique.

A set of best friend soccer moms unearth a demonic entity when breaking ground on their to-be she-shed. Throughout the summer, their boxed-wine nights become less frequent as their possessed friend slowly marks each of them for doom and gloom. When some of them think moving away might be the only decision left to them, Amy, the lead, decides she has to bring them back together to free their friend for good.

There are some very annoying (to me) stereotypes of husbands not helping, not listening, not being involved. I apologize that women still deal with things that should be from generations past, and it’s certainly not a fault of the author’s for including it, but it felt like a lot. (Men stop being tone dead and lazy)

I still had a decent amount of fun with this on though. The main character and author’s voice were enjoyable and realistic. Personally a 3/5*.

Very great book to read I mean listen to. the narrator was excellent. the story line was great I enjoyed it very much I I love audible books

Love the story

This was so much fun! It reminded me a little of My Best Friend`s Exorcism, but with suburban moms. What would you do if you think one of your best friends in your mom group is possessed? They don`t sell books on this kind of thing at Target. Between planning a school carnival, battling demons, and keeping kids entertained for the summer, these moms have their hands full.

Painful and uncomfortable

Story had potential to so much more HOWEVER the angry feminist slant was RIDICULOUS. The main character attempted to but failed miserably to be the strong lead the story needed but failed at every turn. Ugh. Wanted this to be amazing but only got a great reading performance of mediocre literature. The voice actor tried to save it but couldn’t
