linguistic greatness

i've always enjoyed this author and this book serves her quite well. she does fascinating things with language; who else uses 'bathyal' as a directional term!?

The narrator did wonderful. such an AH-MAZING storytelling. love the way the characters had different voices it made the story

I love cassandras writing, alessa was such a interesting character, the narrator did an amazing job, the ending confused me a little, so I will definitely do a re-listen

Wow...

This is a great piece of Lovecraftian horror. Strange creatures from outside our reality. A sense of hopelessness and dread. A battle against something that can't be defeated by mortal means. Overall one great horror book.

Dark, Gorey, and Beautiful, everything I've come to expect from Kaw

loved everything about this, the story and narrator were perfect. If you have a hard time with gore and body horror, you might want to give this a pass, but if that doesn't bother you definitely give this awesome school horror a chance.

the narrator was good, I liked the characters, the story line was too jumpy forward, backwards. it got a bit tangled. I was waiting the whole book for that aha moment that never came.
