From World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement Award winner Michael Moorcock comes the second volume of the author's definitive editions of the famous Elric of Melniboné series.

In one of the most well-loved fantasy epics of the twentieth century, Elric is the brooding, albino emperor of the dying Kingdom of Melniboné. After defeating his nefarious cousin and gaining control over the epic sword Stormbringer, Elric, prince of ruins, must decide what he’s willing to sacrifice in a fight against Armageddon.

Stormbringer is the second volume in the definitive Elric editions of the series that has transformed and influenced the fantasy genre for generations.

My favorite author. Fantasy adventure, great character depth, and fast paced. Prose brilliant in its simplicity; without adjective and adverb boat that plagues most modern fantasy. Elric is perhaps the first true anti-hero of the genre, calling upon Ariach, dark lord of chaos, in drunken bloodlust as Stormbringer devours hapless souls. But at the same time, exhibits such intellectual depth on the nature of humanity, the multiverse, anarchy and law, with a brevity and seeming carelessness that never slows down the story.

No fluff, elves, dwarves, and fantasy cliche'. No boring exposition to suffer through. Start with Volume 1. I love you Michael Moorcock! #1 Fan. It is a joy to read/listen.

it's a style a little different than what you see today but this is a masterpiece if it's time

older fantasy

stormbringer was one of the first fantasy books I read as a kid,and I was so happy to see it reappear (reincarnate?) in audiobook form. the pathos is still as I remember it,and the story is truly timeless.

now please have "dancers at the end of time" in audiobook ! looking forward to it :)

ah to be young again...

have been a huge fan of the eternal champion for dewcades , but the narrator gets the main character's name wrong dozens of times and makes it almost insufferable to listen to. he calls Elric, Eric so many times, you start waiting for it rather than enjoying the story.

great story bad narrator
