Great as always
Another great addition to this continuing saga. Tao is good at getting you to care about the stories he tells. I’ve loved nearly every novel in the series. I’m on book 9, and I’m ready for more. I'm really into the mystery of the system.

How is it that his female companion levels ridiculously fast? He stated that getting levels in the master ranks takes years. In 2 years she went through basically half the master levels. John has banked experience and is technically in the advanced rank and levels like 10-15 levels? If she is in the 20s, he should be in the heroic rank. He is almost a rank behind her now. He's been in the system for around 7 years and has been fighting constantly, but he doesn't seem to be improving. He says he doesn't want violence but he does. He needs to get stronger. He will never achieve what he wants by standing still. Stasis is worse than death. He seems to level on accident more so than actual effort to keep moving forward.
