After English, Spanish is the most popular language in the world, with over 35 countries and 600 million people speaking it. I would, therefore, say that choosing to learn it means making an intelligent choice. But learning a new language is not that easy and can be quite boring and tiring if you don't have the right tools to learn it.

Good, helpful book

I think the parts that help me the most are the glossaries within each story that highlights key words and the section of each chapter that translates the entire story in sections. The set up is easy to follow and the stories aren't boring.

Superb book

This is a superb book...largely self-contained. I has the dual facing pages spanish/english, a vocabulary section in the back, notes, and exercises. It's a great book to start out learning Spanish with.

Great way to follow along with the pregnancy

This book provides a fun way to follow the developing baby with helpful tips and advice along the way. Highly recommend.

Relevant Learning Tools

I will say I have not finished this book as I'm trying to work through the Short Stories for Beginners and the 2000 Common Phrases, but my initial review looks very promising.

Love Love!

This book even had playground conversations, which is not usual, and very useful for me. My families here and there at the parks with my young son. I liked this book, and found it very useful!

Wonderful book

It says that there is a short summary at the end of every to help understand the story but it’s in Spanish too and i’m sure how exactly the expects me to understand that summary when I don’t speak . I bought the book to help me learn, if I knew how to listen in Spanish I wouldn’t have bought the book.

Interesting stories

This book is GREAT. I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to Spanish and I'm also a visual learner. I love how the book not only has the story, but a vocabulary list at the end. I liked reviewing the words and gaining a grasp on them. I also enjoyed testing myself with the quizzes about the story and saying my answers aloud for practice. It made it fun for me. I felt like I was actually getting it and learning. I definitely recommend this book for those who want to learn Spanish in an easy and fun way.

I love this book

Definitely intermediate, all but the first story are in past tense and use subjunctive, etc., and they use a pretty wide range of vocab. And it uses the form, which is annoying. But they are actual stories and are engaging overall. And it’s a lot of bang for your buck since it’s a full-length book unlike most graded listeners.

Wonderful spanish learning

The Great thing about this book is the intro on how to listen this book effectively--please don't skip that! The focus is more on finishing the short than knowing every word: believe me, using this method you will look up fewer words, and feel more accomplished as a listener. It really is the best strategy I've ever used for listening a text in another language.
