The mystery of hidden enemies & the race to find them was so entertaining. Chersera& Milano’s journey to love each other was exciting, passionate, & full of ups & downs.

Again, testosterone literally drips off the page as these Italian Stallions demand and take what they want from the women they love. The women are either reluctant or broken and resist protection when in danger and control when safe.

It’s an interesting sort of mix, but somehow it works.

This is book 2 in the series, which is also well done. You get to keep seeing into the lives of prior characters, they aren’t just background players in this story.

Yes, I’m moving on to book 3.

I don't know how you can love. A man who looks after a woman like these men do theirs. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I am fully invested in fully in love with these characters, you must listen to this. The more leaders get in amazing job.

Heartbreakingly sad and beautiful storyline.As someone who has witnessed and experienced ptsd it was spot in my opinion.Well worth the $$ and I am looking forward to adding more audio books to my library from this series

It's pretty good...

The story is OK.
Cesare kidnaps Milana because he thinks theyre meant to be. She fights him over and over thru out the book and he punishes her with very unwanted ànàl sèx and belt whippings. Multiple times....

She thought he did a horrible thing but turns out he didn't. They make up and fall madly in love but it takes most of the book to get there. Stuff happens and he does everything to protect her.

I've listened book 1 & book 2 and still don't know if I like Barone or not.
The male narrator's voice is delicious.

You’ll miss a lot if you don’t speak/understand Italian

This is a fantastic book and series. 10/10 for sure! It has a “fight me” kink element to most of their sex scenes. (This might be a trigger for some.) IMO, it’s delicious! This series is tied into a great story!

Tho ONLY thing I did not like is the excess of Italian dialogue between the characters because I couldn’t follow what they were saying. If this was in text, I could have copy an paste in google translate or something, but listening, I felt left out. Also, the food and wine names were so descriptive and spoken in a heavy Italian accent it’s sounded like a blur. For example, the narrator would start describing a dinner scene: I open a bottle of our Cavalieelgatoamaroelbingo aged red. Rosa (the cook) made pastadecabolomentoesta with servitodegatloengamto…. (made up words) and in my head, I’d just picture any random disk with red wine and keep going, because I had no idea why was said.

Both Narrators were amazing.
