Fav Slay Book!

Absolutely loves this story. Frankie and Maverick are *chef’s kiss*, and as a late 30s woman… I found this to be perfect with the age gap! The spice is perfect, the story is laugh out loud funny and full of good twists.

P.S. Ice will forever be one of my favorites.. as twisted as that may be!

Reverse Age Gap

If you liked Butcher & Blackbird (not the other two books from The Ruinous Love Trilogy), you’ll love Slaycation! All three books were good, especially with Frankie and Maverick.

Once Frankie embraced her dark side as an FBI agent, she became more likable. Maverick is a golden retriever and a very charming contract killer. They both sail for the Bruise Cruise with other serial killers for an unforgettable trip. This plot has dark humor that had me laughing and gagging in this reverse age gap romance.

Another good one!!! And, now I can't wait for the next book!!! Who's story is it gonna be!?!?!? I can't wait!!!

5 stars. honestly, 10, but... there's only 5 available.

You go into this book thinking it's going to go a certain way, and then Lauren does the thing where she surprises you and the plot goes another way and is just *chefs kiss.*
The pacing is fantastic- not too fast or too slow- and the story builds beautifully with really great funny moments!

and the narration team?! it doesn't get better. buy the book.

I was laughing and cringing simultaneously.

I said this about the previous books. Very entertaining in a bizarrely disturbing way.
This book puts our FMC and MMC in some difficult to digest situations.

Cruise ships and serial killers oh my.

If you’re looking for a good spicy serial killer romance with great banter then this is the book for you.

The way I laughed…

In true LB fashion the darkness has come but again we are in the Slaycation series so it brought with it amazing banter and laughs that were not at all lady like.

I love this series so much, the moments of humor are abundant and it’s real funny, yes there is the unaliving twist, but who doesn’t love a good fart joke.

True to form food is ruined, but if you’re a fan of smashed potatoes you’ll see them in a new light!

I have no idea how this cast of narrators has been able to get through this series, I would love the blooper reels because I just know they would be fantastic!!

LOVE THIS WHOLE SERIES!!!!

Book Review: When I read the plot was going to be “Federal Agent Undercover” I thought I already knew what was going to happen. Thankfully I was wrong!! I definitely did not expect the familial connection (I don’t want to say too much and risk a spoiler). That’s going to bring some hilarious moments in the next book. This entire series has been perfectly balanced between humor, spice, and murder. I love that Lauren Biel has all the characters in each book throughout the series. Slaughter Park can’t be released fast enough.

Narrators Review: I will say that “Duet Narration” is by far more superior. It really brings the whole story to life. This series uses several voice actors for the different characters not just 2 voice actors doing slightly different voices for the “side characters”. The narrators did a fantastic job. It wasn’t just some voice actors reading the book to you. They were amazing!!
