Important and necessary for anyone who works with

This is a good overview of the concept of self-compassion. The author really puts herself out there, sharing both academic and personal insights to help drive home her message: self-compassion trumps self-esteem.

Awesome Audiobook

This book helped to remind me that although we cannot change our circumstances, we change how we react to them. I truly got a lot of value from what i listened. My favorite part of the book is where it talks about writing down and frequently reviewing your goals. It really opened my eyes and made me realize that I need to always be reviewing my goals so that i can stick to them and also to help boost my mood.

Well written, you will be woke, and grow to love y

Excellent listen!!! Wish I could give this audiobook more than a five star rating. Buckle up,this audiobook is heavily based on research and will take you wild ride of life called reality ( of accepting,acknowledging, healing and growing).

Enjoyed this audible

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It reminded me of activities I used to do but got too caught up in life and forgot to take time for me. I have new perspectives now.

Just awesome

As most people have already said this audiobook is amazing. So I won't use up space repeating just that but will try to give you another reason why this is awesome.I resisted the idea for a long time as well for all the reasons that Kristin outlines: it would make me lazy, self-indulgent etc. I strongly believed that beating myself was the answer. After listening this audiobook I finally feel the peace that CBT alone could never provide.

Changed my mindset

This book taught me how to think positive and practices for Ultimate Self-Love. It teaches you through tips and secrets. It teaches you how to get motivated and how to stay motivated. I started a morning ritual because of this book. It helps me a lot to get through the day. Thanks for changing my mindset and life

Life-Changing!

In order for me and this extraordinary audiobook, it first took finding the works of Thich Nhat Hanh, Jon Kabat-Zinn and his Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course, Christine Carter's audiobook Raising Happiness and her online Greater Good Science Center, and Sharon Salzberg's audiobook Lovingkindness and The Kindness Handbook. I highly recommend all of these; has been most helpful in changing the way I think and relate to myself., this is a similar concept to flight attendants asking us, in the event of an emergency, to first put on our masks before assisting children or those in need of help - we must care for ourselves before we can be most effective in our daily lives and in helping others.

Found encouraging

I found this book to be very encouraging. I think it is geared to help change your mindset to the way we have been wired, but where negativity can be everywhere, it’s not about being perfect, but establishing healthy routines that are the breeding ground for a healthy mindset, which is positive and prosperous.

Essential listening!

This audiobook is essential listening in my opinion. I've listen many audiobook on the subjects of self-help and self-esteem, (BTW if you're interested in the subject of Self-Esteem I would recommend turning to this audiobook first.) and this audiobook is on the top of the charts of my personal list as being one of the best (if not the best.)
