A dark, RH, bullying, academy romance

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Rachel Leigh. It is a dark, reverse-harem, academy storyline with some bullying. I stayed anxious the whole way through. I can't tell who might actually be a friendly character towards Scarlett. There is a bit of a twist, which I have my guesses about. I look forward to the next book to see if I'm even close.

Theo Sinclair and Stefanie Kay are excellent narrators. They brought this book to life with emotional performances. Love their voices!

I loved this!! Perfect teen romance/mystery/drama

This was the perfect high school bully, menage-ish, enemies to lovers, suspense romance!!
Scarlett was born into an elite society with other members of lawless, Crue, Jagger, Neo and his twin Maddie. Neo is jealous of Scar and Maddie's friendship, likely because his father is awful and all he has is his sister. Maddie loves Crue, Crue loves Scarlett, Forbidden crush ensues. When tragedy strikes, Scarlett and Crue move to a forbidden romance until the rest of the gang finds out. Neo has a big unwarranted grudge and gets the rest on his side, breaking Scars heart and her life as much as they can. Finally she is at their school and has to prove herself to the school and to them. Drama ensues, attempted life ruining, and a mystery stalker who wants Scarlett taken down even more than Neo. They are left in this weird in- between of protection, torment, love, and hate. Ends on a cliff hanger waiting to see who the mystery hater is. Book has all the angst and hyperbolic teen drama you could ask for. I enjoyed the ride it took me on and can't wait to see what the next books gives me.

Steamy!

Ooh… I need the next audiobook. This one was so enjoyable. I love how strong Scarlett was. Stephanie Kay did a fab job with her performance as well as Theo Sinclair. He played the roll of these guys perfectly. There were some scenes I didn’t care for but the rest were on point. Such a great story!! I look forward to more!

Dark RH Academy Bully Romance!

This is the first book in the Series, a Dark RH Academy Bully Romance. Scarlett, Crew, Jagger and Neo's story is intriguing, and captivating, filled with angst, mystery, intrigue, secrets, and twists and turns. The storyline is intense, dark, and twisted. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listening to Vicious Lies, the second book in the series. Stefanie Kay and Theo Sinclair did an excellent job bringing this story to life. #PFPAudio

Loved it

This is book #1 of the Bastards of Boulder Cove and what an introduction it was. Forced to attend Border Cove Academy Scarlett has no choice but to make the most of it. These characters will keep you on your toes.

Loved this one! It’s filled with angst and mystery and all the goodness I love in a bully romance! Definitely recommend!

Suspenseful, Dark and Intriguing

The suspense in this story is captivating. This story is full of mystery and I can't wait to find out who is behind it all. I am loving Scarlett. Right now Jagger is my favorite of her three men, but it will be interesting to see how her relationship comes together with Jagger, Crew and Neo.

Theo Sinclair and Stefanie Kay do an amazing job bringing these characters to life. The emotions the brought to this story are fantastics. This was a great read and I look forward to listening to the rest of the series.

Academy Bully Romance

Savage Games by Rachel Leigh is an academy bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stefanie Kay and Theo Sinclair. This is the first book in the Bastards of Boulder Cove series.

I absolutely love Rachel's books! I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am loving the push and pull between Scarlett, Crew, and Neo. I can't wait to see how their relationship grows throughout the series. I really enjoyed getting Scarlett and Crew's point of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Vicious Lies to be released on audio.

I originally read the book and was so excited when I saw it was coming to audio and I was not disappointed. Stefanie and Theo did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you like dark romances, academy romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.

Dark, Twisted & Intriguing! Great Story & Listen🎧

This is an intriguing start to the "Bastards of Boulder Cove" series, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end, an end that left me needing more, needing to know what happens next. This first book lays down the foundation, drops just enough information to make you wonder and think what is really going on. Scarlett is being forced to attend a new school for her senior year and if starting over in a new school is not bad enough, the school is run by the last three people she wanted to see again, Crew, Jagger and Neo, the boys she grew up with and are now referred to as the “Lawless”. But she does not fear them or whatever they have in store for her. The school is all about secrets and a society of blue bloods that no one is supposed to talk about outside of school. Scarlett’s parents went to this same school, yet they did not tell her much about it or its learning experience and the games they were forced to play to earn their rank. Crew, Jagger and Neo do not welcome her with open arms, their history has not always been a good one and they blame on her for what happened to her friend, which was an accident. The hits keep coming her way and as time goes on, she soon realizes they are not all coming from the Lawless, that someone else has it out for her too. This cleverly plotted has plenty of drama angst, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. The character growth and development is fantastic, same for the world building. Rachel Leigh, thank you for this great story and wild ride. 

🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Stefanie Kay and Theo Sinclair  are the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and do so with a complete understanding of who they are portraying, giving each their own distinct voice making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. Kay nailed it as Scarlett, grasped all sides of her personality and her fierceness and strength. Sinclair mastered all his roles as well, from a pompous Crew to a caring one, to Neo’s angsty alphatude, to Jagger’s bossy brazenness. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters and were believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, making you feel every single one. These are versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Good start to this RH series!

I kinda went into this audiobook blind, not knowing what the story was about besides it was an RH, it was bully, and had some darkness. I liked how this author set the stage for this series, I liked how detailed they were, how intricate the storyline is, it shows with how they developed things and created these tense situations and relationships. I love that this was RH, if it had been M/F I would have had a hard time picking the 2 guys of the harem who sometimes showed glimpses or their good side. I think Jagger won me over, Crew needs to take a chill pill sometimes but they both are there for Scarlett when they can (sometimes haha). I thought the spice was well done, wasn't overpowering (let the story shine and the character relationships develop) but definitely had some good steamy moments (I was not a fan of the Neo situation but hopefully he redeems himself in book 2 a bit).

I thought the storyline had some hard hits but also some not hit hard enough if that makes sense. So the threats from the guys were a lot of talk but not a lot of bite. Like the end challenge. I get why it would be hard for her but it wasn't a lot in terms of a big final challenge. I did like some of her other requirements and the other junior class but a lot of it was tame to be honest. I think that is one of the reasons I didnt round up to 5 stars for the story (it was btw 4 and 5 stars). I did like the side characters (interested to see who is good and who is bad) and I liked that I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the guys or the side characters to be bad/betrray Scarlett after everything (maybe more to come on the that once I get through book 2 haha). This is my first solo reading/listening from this author and I think this series will be my favorite. Good start, I went right into book 2 because I need to know what happens ❤️

Narration was fabulous. I like both of these narrators. They did a great job with the emotion. esp Neo and his hatred, Scarlett and her heart wrenching sadness with Maddie and all that happened with her, the eeriness and mystery and creep factor with the stalker haha. The only improvement I could think for the narration is that it would have been elevated even more if it was duet instead of dual. They weren't bad in their opposite voice portrayals, but it would have been even better if it had been.
