Loved The Music!

I am puzzled by other reviewers criticism of the songs included in this audiobook. I enjoyed them. I have certainly heard "hit" songs that were less well written. Maybe they are just not country music fans? The singing was well done and different in a book. I like Sam. I enjoyed the stories. I encourage you to listen and make up your own mind. The narrator is very talented.

Singing songs Really ??!!

Why on earth do we have to listen to substandard songs and singers in a mystery novel ?? I fast forwarded the plethora of songs - such a disappointment.

Sam Pritchard books 1-4.

I especially liked the singing and the new songs. I am hooked on audio. if I had just read it, I would have missed hearing the songs.

This is one of the best detective series I've listened to in a while. There is a lot of good detective series out there but occasionally I'll try one and it's like this. A little better than most. I liked all three books and I'll listen to this whole series. From me Indie made this book. Thats his wife. She helps him solve cases with all of her computer work. Also I liked how Harry Winslow from Home Land Security works with Sam. In most books there trying to keep the P.I. out. In this Harry ask for his help and appreciates all that Sam does. That's what I think made me like this so much. Then there's the narrating. Mikael Naramore is new to me. He did a great job narrating this. I loved his voice on Harry Winslow. I seen in other reviews that they didn't like the singing. I could do without it but it's ok. There is not much and it's actually pretty good. All in All I am hooked on this series. This is a four book Boxset. There is more Boxsets in this series. I highly recommend trying this. I did put the speed on 150. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Stories are ok, but…

I enjoyed the stories well enough, but I coulda done without the music, which were entire C&W songs. Theres probably 20 minutes per book of singer/songwriter pieces scattered throughout and Im not even sure what the purpose was of including them, unless perhaps its the author and his band, making these books shameless promotion of his music. But whatever; its Prichards book and he can fi what he wants.

I could also have done without all the talk on church, prayer, trusting god, etc., especially since this book is not tagged as faith-based or religious. Had it been so tagged, I would not have bothered, and to be honest, I don’t think I would have missed much.

This my opinion. YMMV.

Actually unbearable to listen too

Everyone, even the villains are really nice guys. It is like being on a constant sugar rush. Ridiculous stories too.

Oh for Heaven’s Sake

What a dead bore - nowhere in the Audible descriptive summary is there ANY indication that the silly author uses characters’ chats with spiritual entities from past lives to solve mysteries and save lives. Fantasy foolishness - I’m returning this as I would never have wasted a credit on such ignorant nonsense. Nevertheless, narration of the part I heard was very good.

Why the songs?

The books are a bit immature. I don't want the music embedded in the story. Overall, this series didn't live up to my hopes.

Boring! Romance novel

I really wanted to love this series but it is more of a romance story, too much singing and carrying on. I thought there would be more action in the field, more sub plots, but sadly there is not. I could not even finish the whole series. I especially did not like all the Koran crap he kept spouting. This series is not worth the money unless you enjoy fluff more than substance.
