Having just found her sister, Sofia temporarily becomes a summoner combat tactics professor at a prestigious magic academy?!
Wait, this is still a book about skeletons, right? It is? Good.
But can Sofia really spend an entire year in one place without causing chaos? We all know the answer to that already.
What are the chances of her stealing the students' bones? Surely she would never!
In a place home to so much knowledge, could she learn more about the mysteries of this world, the admins, and the Deep?
It should have been a calm year, but with Sofia involved, the academy's higher-ups seem to be hiding something....

The second thing that I've come to enjoy about this author and this series is how that handle power progression. From the start of volume 1 to now there has always been a bigger, more powerful entity than our protagonist. With all of Sophia's items and experiences, you would expect her to basically be near the top of the food chain, but we are constantly being introduced and reintroduced to characters that are leagues above her. And just when you think the power scaling has reached it's end, a new situation arises where it once again puts into question just how anyone is even still alive in that world. There is always ever-growing stakes and someone who scares those who are at the top.
Not much to say on the narration and production as they are top tier as always. The narrator absolutely kills it just as she did in the other volumes, one singular small issue though is now that Sophia and her sister are reunited, it does get a bit confusing at times who is speaking since the narrator went for a similar voice, with only slight differences that you really need to pay attention closely to hear.
Based on how this volume ended, I really don't see a true "ending" anywhere in sight, and I'm all for that. I'm already hooked on the world, and am always looking for more adventures in it, so I wouldn't mind if there were still many volumes to come. I do hope the author keeps the same length though as they have done with each story so far. 17-25 hours is a nice length that does feel like I'm getting my money's worth, but if they want to go longer, you won't get any complaints from me.
Always a hit and never a miss
