I loved this. and an important topic

I think this story and the characters will be a strong memory for a long time.

powerful story

Another great book in this series. Its a story of a new heart, a new life, and a new lover. I was touched.

What a performance!

I've decided that Michael Pauley can just whisper the word "ok" in my ear any day of the week forever!
He brought Ash and Aiden to life in a perfect way. This is such a sweet, sad, beautiful, crushing, love story and Michael couldn't have done a better job.

Fabulous to listen too.

I really loved reading this book. But listening was fantastic, the depth, each of character is so complex but beautifully written. Aid and Ash with both of their quirks, it is a deep story, but then again when you have two(in my opinion) outstandiing writers what can you expect. I knew I needed to listen to this book, when I had the time to take the story in,
Michael Pauley once again done an amazing job with feeling of the book, also with his characters voices. I enjoy listening to him.
I will definitely be listening to this again. But first I will have to listen to Lost and Found by these two authors.
If I could give more then five stars I would. Highly recommended.

Safe and Sound

While this wasn’t necessarily a Dark book. It was Darker than book one in this series, since it does have some mentions of Physical & Mental Abuse. I feel like Sloane’s writing came out a lot more in this book. Lucy tends to write more light hearted scenes and that wasn’t really what this book was about. There were times I just didn’t want to know what happened next I just felt so much Hurt and Heartbreak for Ash. And there were times I just really felt for Aiden, finally knowing what made him tick and why he acts the way he does (coming from book1) his past is just as tragic as Ash’s but in such a different way. But when these two men finally got together it’s like everything in their story’s finally had a spot to click into place. And they are a great match, each keeping the other from drowning in the storm.
Now, I only have the Audio of this book. I haven’t “read” it. So my first time with this book was listening to Michael Pauley trying to rip my heart out with his Narration account of these characters story. He did such a great job (like always) but man somehow he made this one just More. More feelings. More emotion. More Passion. More Intense.

An unbreakable story

The story was well written. There were bits of details that let you live within the lives of the two main characters. At times I couldn't stop reading, and other times were I had to put it down. If you like to read books that invigorates strength, then this is a book for you.

Loved This Book But Very Disturbing Content

This book was exceptional in dealing with the heart wrenching topic of severe mental and physical abuse. Even though the ending was not satisfying to many readers as stated in many reviews it is unfortunately the reality that many abusers are not prosecuted for their actions. Abuse and mental illness happen right under people's noses, you never know what someone you meet might be going through. Normally Lucy Lennox and Sloane Kennedy write only HEA stories, this is no exception but what it takes to get there will not be for everyone. If you have triggers for abuse, mental illness, or suicide you should skip this book. I highly recommend it to everyone else if you want to follow along with the series.

highly recommend. it is triggery for domestic abuse and it would have been awesome if there was more wrap up for that.

The story and the journey both characters go through to come out the other side.

I started this group of books last week and have been listening nonstop. This one was very good, some situations we just seem stuck in and can't get out. This book had me in tears a few times. The narration was excellent and the charters are flowing over into every book and I like that. Plus I am a huge Star Trek fan and loved the back and forth banter!!

Cheesy cliché plot ruined it 😔

This book had me absolutely hooked with fantastic character development, swoon-worthy romance, without a trace of insta-lust to ruin it. But then the freaking PLOT ruined it! And what sucks was at that point I was invested in the darn thing and it was so disappointing. Why? Why must authors ruin perfectly enjoyable books with this sort of b.s. drama? Ugh.
