Loved it!

Loved this book even more than the first one!! I thought the narrators were both wonderful and did a great job!!

good story

I was not sure how was I going to feel about this story since it takes place before the first book but i did really like it. I did feel like Lucas need to get his head out of his ass alot sooner but overall I like their relationship. And he did do a pretty good job of groveling so I was happy with that.

Childhood friends to lovers (who knew) I’d love this trope

This is a beautiful golden retriever type vibe that quickly shows that both MMC & FMC have a bit of a edgy, spicy side to them when it comes to each other. The emotional side was a bit (2/10) dark and them both portraying the difference in grief is highly important to learn from this book, there is no right or way but just finding a way to be there but also dealing with your own loss.

Definitely should have been the first book.
Definitely cried reading this story! Such a good book! Many surprises that I was not expecting to happen!
I would recommend no listening to the prologue though if you read this as book 1. Come back to the prologue after you finished the actual book 1. Things will make sense!

Really good story

This was a really good story. My heart literally broke in multiple places. The angst was so strong! But the story was great. I really enjoyed it. I love the happy ending. But dear lord my emotions are drained.
