La Lune Noire has a pulse. It rules apart from its owners. Backroom deals and electro swing. Extravagant parties and bootlegger tunnels. The walls have secrets. The doors have codes. Ashes and lies. White oak and screams. Champagne and delusions. Hope is the gateway to hell.

Ryker:

The house always wins. Unless it’s concerning Mercy Phillips. My brothers and I own La Lune Noire, a resort and casino that caters to the criminal underworld. To them, we’re kings. To her, I’m the friend she left behind. Some say absence makes the heart grow fonder. For me, it bred obsession. Three years searching. One offer she can’t refuse. Countless rolls of possibilities. Cognac. Contracts. Coming home. And someone lurking in the shadows, playing us all. But the house will win again. She’s always been mine.

Mercy:

That’s not even my name anymore. Much less who I am.

Other than my precious baby boy, only shards remain of that girl. Scars from a monster. Until Ryker Noire—my best friend and a reminder of the worst night of my life—breezes into town with a tempting proposition. Three years running. One haunting phone call. Countless reasons to stay away. But the choice isn’t mine. What a Noire wants, a Noire gets. No matter the battle, hope is the last thing to die.

Finally dove into Brandy Hynes world & I am so glad I did. This being my first of her books, I never thought I was missing anything even though this is connected to her KORT series. This one has all the elements I love: mystery, suspense, MCs with a rich history that unravels piece by piece, so much yearning & of course, delicious spice.

This first book revolves around Ryker Noire, who has been pining for his best friend Mercy for 20 years. He's given her time & space to find herself and when tragedy struck & she disappeared, he spent the last 3 years searching for her. Now that he has her back, he's not letting her go & will do whatever it takes to keep her & her son safe back home, with him. He is the king of La Lune Noire & is ready for Mercy to take her place as his queen.

There is so much trauma between both Mercy & Ryker that is unveiled through flashbacks & dialogue. I absolutely loved Brandy's writing. These characters completely captivated me with the beautiful & a bit obsessive love story. Ryker is a man obsessed & is not afraid to show it. He is also patient to a point & I just loved his brand of crazy.

Listening to this in duet narration by Brandon Francis and Andi Eloise was absolutely phenomenal. They completely captivated & transported me into this world and took this story to a whole other level.

This is such a strong start to this series & all the Noire brothers featured have me itching for each of their stories. The painted picture of this dark society is intriguing, steamy & just has all the best aspects that set this up for a series I am sure to love.

Brandon Francis = the perfect Ryker. Also, this was my first book with Andi Eloise, and I must say, she hit it out of the park. Loved the story, the chemistry, the narration and the seggsiness of the setting. Can’t wait for the next book.

Brandon Francis is a top tier narrator

Rolling 75 is the first book in the new Noire Brothers series. This is a beautiful story about second chances, everlasting love and family. There are a lot of secrets, lies, intrigue, suspense, mystery and some horrible villains. Something happened to Mercy about three years ago. She decided to disappear with her son-away from Ryker. He has found them now and refuses to let them go. Ryker has loved Mercy forever. Can/will she love him? The duet narration by Andi Eloise and Brandon Francis was phenomenal. Andi Eloise was positively delightful as sweet sassy Mercy. I could feel her pain, fear, sadness, uncertainty as well as her happiness, intelligence, spunk, “mother bear”personality and love through her voice. Brandon Francis as morally gray Ryker was absolutely divine. His love for Mercy and Remy was palpable. His low, sexy sultry tone was swoon worthy. The tone he used for the villain eerily perfect for that character. These two extraordinarily talented voice actors brought this story to life masterfully. They truly embodied these characters. I highly recommend listening to this masterpiece.

New to me author.

Thank you to the author and VPR for the gifted ALC!

I saw this one going around on SM and checked out the synopsis and it sounded perfect for me! And it did not disappoint! The narrators Brandon Francis and Andi Eloise were fantastic for these characters!

Ryker and Mercy are a friends to lovers done so well! It’s usually not my fave trope, but when an author does it this well I melt for it! The fact that it’s set in NOLA just made it that much more special! The vibes for this are dark and sensual, with a dash of mystery. Ryker’s love for Mercy is what most people dream of and his character rocked it! Ryker is there and Mercy just had to catch up. I loved how he and his brothers are with Remy. I love a man who loves a child that while biologically isn’t is, is in every way. There are scenes when Ryker pulls out his possessive side and they will melt your heart and other things.

I love the family dynamics with all these brothers, and can’t wait to get to know more of them. I will definitely have to go back and read the Kort series! This world is intoxicating!

Perfection

You know it’s a good book when you’re not ready to say goodbye to the characters you’ve come to love.. to the story that had you gripped from the start.. to the hero and heroine whose beautiful and damaged love story was anything but smooth.. and definitely not to the intoxicating shades of gray the Noire brothers rule in. Brilliant, sweet, exciting, sexy, deeply emotional, suspenseful and all kinds of tear your heart out highs and lows in between as obsessed Ryker tries desperately to coax back the love of his life in an “all roads lead to you” battle to make ‘fake’ become their forever.

Worth a credit? One hundred percent YES. The world-building was perfect, their rollercoaster was emotionally charged, their love was fought for, filled with chemistry and surrounded by broken bloody pieces of their shared catastrophic past and I couldn’t look away. The duet-style voice acting by Andi and Brandon was perfect as their characters each slowly healed from the terrible night that shattered their friendship a few years previously. The pace, friction, fireworks and build was seductive as they slowly came back together as friends and then as lovers.. and the King finally gets his Queen.

WOW… 75 ⭐️ PERFECTION

my jaw literally hit the floor at the last line of this book hit, my bam was boozled bc i hadnt realized it lol. this was my first brandy hynes book, and it certainly will not be my last, I absolutely was entranced by the world she weaved with her words. the relationships, family dynamics, mysterious intrigue and overall glamour was absolutely phenomenal. i loved how ryker is the mvp of playing the long game and ensuring that all the dice would roll (wink) back to him and mercy being the endgame. the amount of love and obsession and growth they went through was just too good!

andie eloise and brandon francis were freaking phenomenal in this duet narration- like all the ear tingles and glowing praise i can give!

thank you so much to Brandy Hynes and Valentine PR for the opportunity to receive and review a copy of Rolling 75!

This book was EVERYTHING! If you love dark romance packed with all the best tropes, prepare yourself because this one delivers:

✨ Single mom
✨ He falls first (swoooon!)
✨ Found family
✨ Grumpy alpha with a soft spot

The characters have been through so much, yet they always find their way back to each other. I’m absolutely obsessed with them. 💕 Ryker waiting for her, loving her son as his own—my heart could barely handle it. Pure perfection.

This book deserves all the stars!! What a great start to a new series. This is Ryker and Mercy's story. Ryder has been searching for Mercy for three years. She was his best friend and a reminder of what was the worst day of his life. When Ryker finds Mercy he makes her an offer she can't refuse. There's contracts and countless reasons for her to say no, but what a Noire wants, a Noire gets.

This book was so fast paced with nonstop action. There's lots of tension and pining. Ryker and Mercy had wild chemistry that was undeniable. I loved Ryker. He was a go getter, very loyal and obsessed with Mercy. I adored Mercy. She was so brave and resilient. Her dark past was so awful. I understood why she left and didn't come back.

As for the audiobook narration, it's fantastic! Performed in duet by Andi Eloise and Brandon Francis. These two embodied their characters and their personas. Andi conveyed Mercy with some sass to her tone and she exuded her bravery. Brandon conveyed Ryker with a smooth bravado. He exuded his charm and quick wit. Together Andi and Brandon elevated the story for me and the duet narration added more depth to the scenes.
