I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, subplots, each and every character, the pace and excitement of the story as it unwound. Seemed around each corner something…someone had a surprise that was unexpected that added tension and depth. One of the best reads I have had in years!

Phenomenal!

This series is perfection! I love this story, the way uts, written, the characters, the world, the magic system it's all perfection! The narrator is also insanely talented! There are so many characters with so many different voices. He's a master at his craft. This book made me cry so many tears 😭 tears of sadness, but also tears of pride. We've all come so very far 🖤🖤🖤

This series quickly became one of my top series! I have listened through twice and have found so many little fun things I missed the first time. Amazing job.

What a story!

This book is well proportioned between politics and battle to the character building. Theirs redemption, plot twist, and even love in the air.

This series has everything: Interesting well-developed characters that you can’t help but love; lots of action and intriguing twists and turns; personal problems and failures that require redemption and resolution; greed and politics; racism and bigotry; love and hatred; adventures on land and sea; family drama and love. Wonderful dialogue; moral and ethical challenges and lessons learned. I laughed and cried. Can’t wait for the next installment. The last one left a few unanswered questions. If you’re a fan of JRR Tolkien, you’ll love this series. I used 4 credits on the entire series and I don’t regret it. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the superb and exemplary work of the fabulous narrator, Daniel Thomas May! He brought all the scenes and characters to life. I can’t say enough good about him! Narrator extraordinaire!!

‘I’m a Humble reader who listens to all kinds of genres. This series is written well and draws you in like very few do. You will not be disappointed.

Nail Biting and Heart Warming

Whoa! What a ride! This is my favorite fantasy series after The Lord of the Rings. It ranks with The Inheritance Cycle and The Wheel of Time for story arc and endearing characters. It brings edge-of-your-seat intensity from the action while it moves the heart to joy and sadness. I hope the last two books will be published in print because these books need to be part of my library.

I'm nearly finished with this series and sad about it.
R.K. Lander has cemented herself as one of greats in my mind... a perfect balance of fantasy action and political drama, the entire series is worth a listen and as someone who doesn't often spend unnecessarily, I don't regret a single penny I've spent on this series.
