not bad

it's very crunchy, though that's inherent for the premise and MC class build, and also very much like a game/MMO in more ways than a usual litrpg. but it was surprisingly fun, immersive, and paced well.

Great story

This my first intro to B.T. Narro. Really enjoyed this story and Johnathan McClain really brings the characters to life. Can’t wait till Resistance 2 audiobook is available!

good book. . . good narrator. . . will get the next book in the series.

It’s alright

It’s short to begin with to my standards. Then you have a fine line of too many battles that are mundane and not important when it comes to reader attention. Takes time from the story without really adding much.

The story is good so far. I find it is holding me in regardless of me wanting to skip ahead a bunch.

Story didnt go anywhere.

The story starts great then theres this big raid where alot of people are killed but the system allows respawns and then its off to the dungeouns to level as to prevent such things from happening again and thats a majority of the book. They touch up on the raid and what its about at the end of the book but the whole of the book is leveling and items.

I used to love this guys work. always a pretty good story with some interesting original magic system

but lately it seems rather cash grabby.
like why care? it lacks hooks. and interestingness. in my opinion.

maybe I'm asking too much. but I fell asleep.

Great potential but too many stats

I loved the narrator and the world concept but the constant review of character and gear stats really stalled the story progression. I think the story has great potential but I won't be continuing the books.
