Fantastic, hunmorous, creative LITRPG!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and excited to finish the series. If you like LITRPG style stories you should definitely give this one a listen, characters are easy to connect with and author did a wonderful job keeping the story interesting, had a hard time putting this book down.

Didn't know what I was missing

seen this one in my recommendation for a while was glad I got to listen.

the DR references were great reminded my of "we are legion"

as a sidenote the narrator is someone I first heard on a soundbooth production, with Jeff Hays and company

What can I say but, I liked it. And would definitely recommended. Especially like how the chapters were named.

Good story some funny parts to it.

Over all the story itself was a decent read compared to other stories in the same genere there were some rough parts but I will definitely consider the sequals to this book.

I like the overall idea that was presented as the foundation for the plot. Additionally, some of the ideas or concepts that was tied into the story was fairly funny.

Has Reboot turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, just this series.

The duel in the arena.

I find it fairly hard to believe that MC was a game developer. For someone who is a game developer the MC made some decisions that doesn't seem accurate to me. For example) the scene where he gives a beggar a coin with full expectation of a quest/reward or the scene where he walks into a shop and begins breaking pots at random. While in games these concepts can be a real thing the way the MC does not logical assess the situation or even just ask his friend does not seem like a probable action or way of thinking a developer with years of experience would take.

I understand what the author wants to do with the whole "don't make deals with the devil" theme, but the consistent emphasis on the theme I feel is unnecessary. As the reader I already understand what happened/is happening the first time you mentioned it. It wasn't as clever as it could have been.

The lore that was used to help with the final scenes was sub-par. A cryptic poetic message that tells the MC to do what they were already doing in the first place doesn't make a good reveal or realization.

For the sake of not spoiling too much for those that still want to read it I will just say that the ending is cliche.

Awesome Afterlife Story

Loved the story! The approach was different from what I expected, but was very well done. The narrator had a very nice range of voices. I could easily tell who was talking ( in most cases). And the stat-blocks weren't overwhelming.

Afterlife Book 1

A programmer in a virtual world, basically an RPG. I enjoyed the story and the narration. The point of view was interesting as the programmer took a very different look at the virtual world as he knew a lot more than normal people would about how the rules work. I will look forward to listening to the rest of this series.

Amazing preformance, meh story

What made the experience of listening to Reboot the most enjoyable?

The narrator was amazing. He is the reason I didn't put the book down.

What could Domino Finn have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Everything seemed to happen to quickly and to easily. It broke my feeling of plausible deniability.

Pretty decent book.
Enjoyable story, and an engaging MC.
Well written, and narrated.
Finn wrote a good story.
James’s performance was great.

Overall the experience was well worth the time.

its a pretty cool perspective...

there were times where i was like... you really didnt ask that question already? or why didnt you ask this yet? or why why why why why... the main MC thought he was fine... but then you see the freak out moments... and you get it... but hes a little off lol... his room mate is a little off too lol and somehow the author makes it work lol. book one is an Oh My Goodness book because ... from 1-10, id give it an 8. the details, the playground drama, and a twist on rpg that gives you just enough to want more... and curious enough to buy book 2. lol. Go for it. The good guys piss you off. the bad guys piss you off lol. But there is so much meat in this sandwhich... that book 2 may have just enough mayo or oil, to help it go down smooth!
