The female narrator was awesome! The male narrator that started in Aran's books was terrible. I really enjoyed Sadie's books. Aran was a mess but likable in those books. I loved their friendship. I had a hard time getting through her books. She has been through a lot but at some point she needs to put on her big girl panties. She's constantly harming herself and a damn drug addict. I really didn't think I had triggers but I really don't want to spend my time listening to multiple books with her puffing away on her pipe. I got through it because I told myself it was just pot not something worse. I also don't get her being with the twins and refusing to forgive her mates. I will wait for the last book to come out instead of reading it on kindle. I think I need a break from what I just listened to. I will finish it because I'm hoping she changes her ways in the last book

This book was frustrating

I absolutely love the Psycho Shifters series, and I have been so excited by Academy, Devils, and Gods being in audio format that I've gone through them all 3 times now. I can't wait for Shifters, Fae, and Beasts to be added!

Absolutely Amazing

I really loved the narration for the first book, but this male narrator…. He reads at the same exact cadence and ends on the same descending note for the end of every sentence. There’s no emotion or vocal expression beyond some of the difference voices he uses (Ex. “You enslaved my daughter!”. You’d think he’d sound mad and not just flat and emotionless.)

I am only two hours in and am hoping to get to the female narrator already because listening to this guy is going to put me to sleep. Hopefully he gets a bit better as the book goes on. I do not know if I’ll be able to listen to the 3rd book at this rate, might end up just switching to Kindle for that one.

Great Book, but the Male Narrators is Iffy

This book was really good, but it does kind of get to be a little all over the place. She was never interested in Jon and then they randomly throw him in and Luca and I thought that connection with both twins was weird and unneeded. I also dislike the author's fascination with men who have some vendetta against women as a whole. But other than that the main characters emotions are totally relatable and she's cool imma keep reading but it's like make up your mind

Good but lowkey all over the place

I adore this series, and Aran’s story most of all. There are some one liners in this that cracked me up to no end. The voice for Scorpius/Malum/Orion did things to me I will NOT be sharing with my partner. This is definitely an audiobook I’m going to come back to again and again!!

The voices, the snark, the feminine rage *chef’s kiss*

I liked how different this series is from others. The plot is so interesting and pulls you in. Also I don’t care how crazy the devils are…I loved their characters.

Great storyline

Love most of the characters and the overall story. Between Sadie and Aran, the comedy and sarcasm is just right. The devil kings are endless chapters of ‘Shut the FU€K up!!’ Love the female narrator. Male narrator made me almost not finish the books. The cadence of his voice is one of the most annoying sounds i’ve heard. It is marginally more bearable as the book progresses, but still super annoying. Imagine a song that is the chorus repeating for every line but different words are used for each one. That’s what listening to the male narrator is like. Only one book to go, so I’ll push through and hope for the best.

Love the series!

I think the story is amazing and Maeve York does an amazing job capturing the personality of Aran and the cast. Unfortunately, Tor Thom doesn't seem to keep up quite as much or match the tone for the characters, so it falls a lot more flat in his chapters. I would've preferred Maeve to narrate the entire book as she matches the tone better overall.

Edit: I think I was a little rough on Tor since the first few chapters heavily relied on his POVs and a lot of world building. Getting further in he seemed to pick up the tone more and it meshes better together.

Great Story but Duet feels lacking

Dang it! I should have looked to see if this was the last in the series before I dove in! It was SO good!! Now I’m left on the edge of the cliffhanger and trying to drag my sorry ass up from it!

The narrators were experts! They did this book and the previous justice! And how can an 18-ish hour book feel like 2?! It was the perfect blend of description, inner monologue and other bits and bobs that somehow wasn’t ‘too much’ in any way.

Jasmine!!! Keep doing you! It’s working! ❤️

Fantastic experience! But I’m an idiot!
