But while law school in Charleston seemed to provide the direction he needed, Conover spent years searching for meaning and passion in life. The chance to become a cast member on Bravo’s Southern Charm promised to provide that.

Though the show gave Conover a shot at fame and fortune, it also offered destructive temptations that fed his insecurities. As the show increased in popularity, he sank deeper into self-doubt. Unable to take control of his life, Conover quickly lost his job, his girlfriend, and his motivation. Then, at his lowest point, Conover turned to his passion—sewing—and slowly pulled himself out of the spiral. A chance phone call from an old friend gave Conover the support he needed to turn his hobby into a business. Soon after, Sewing Down South was born and became an overnight success, with Conover launching a multi-state “Pillow Party Tour,” being featured on HSN, and opening a retail store in downtown Charleston.

Now, Conover reveals the full story of the drama that swirled around him on the show—both on screen and off—and how it led to the founding of Sewing Down South. He also talks about how he was able to turn his passion into his work and reclaim the direction of his life and what lessons we can learn from his experience.

Motivational read!

I literally listened to this book every free second I had until I finished it and I wanted it to keep going. It was very motivating and entertaining to listen to!

We all start somewhere…

In Pillow Talk, you learn the Southern Charm star and small business owner Craig Conovers start…and re-start, and all the bumps in-between. From being a child from the state of Delaware, to his migration to Charleston and entering into adulthood, reality TV, law school, addiction, relationships, and launching of a business during a worldwide pandemic. I do hope that I will run into Craig somewhere here in Charleston so I can shake his hand and thank him for this story! It’s awesome!!

Great listen, especially for Southern Charm fans!

Great book

I have watched and rooted for Craig since season one of Southern Charm. I learned from his book that he is even a greater guy than I thought! I think some of the reasons so many people want to see him succeed is because he has such a great heart and we can relate to him in many ways as we watched him try to find himself and his way in life! The only problem with this book is that it ended! I want more. Can’t wait for the new season of Southern Charm and Craig’s next book discussing his continued success in building his brand.

Love hearing Craig’s story behind the scenes. I appreciated that he spoke out about his adderall addiction and found a passion for philanthropy.
