Resumen del Editor

In the years following the publication of Patrick Lencioni's best seller, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, fans have been clamoring for more information on how to implement the ideas outlined in the book.

In Overcoming the Five Dysfunctions of a Team, Lencioni offers more specific, practical guidance for overcoming the five dysfunctions, using tools, exercises, assessments, and real-world examples. He examines questions that all teams must ask themselves: Are we really a team? How are we currently performing? Are we prepared to invest the time and energy required to be a great team?

Written concisely and to the point, this guide gives leaders, line managers, and consultants alike the tools they need to get their teams up and running quickly and effectively.

Great message

Great message, which actually works in practice. But it is not suitable for audio format.

Good Field Guide followup to his earlier book

The content is great, but too detailed for audible format. I recommend this book but in the text format.

Straight Forward and Insightful

Would you listen to Overcoming the Five Dysfunctions of a Team again? Why?

I am listening to the book again, in fact second time through. It is an excellent resource and inspires me to keep working on helping my team and I to build trust and overcome the dysfunctions discussed. .

What did you like best about this story?

The tools. Mr. Lencioni takes the time to speak of the dysfunction, leverages examples to showcase how the dysfunction impacts the team, and then what tools a facilitator or leader can use to overcome the dysfunction.

Any additional comments?

If you a leader, a team member or business educator, read this book. One of the very best books I have read.

Missing the exercises

Some books are better purchased as books. I am sad that I don't have the ability to use the exercises that are in the hardcopy.

Awesome blueprint!!!

While a team is not enough for success, having a solid core team is the biggest untapped potential in organizations looking to grow or turn around. This book is a fantastic and practical blueprint. I’m using it every day as a Bible for helping organizations prepare for their next growth spurt.

Practical

The insights are practical and actionable. Loved the part about not prioritizing the team one leads over the team that one is a part of. Had never thought about that as a dilemma.
