Timeless Thriller
Published in 1965, Odds Against provides a riveting and early exemplar of this genre. Francis carefully crafted plot with twists and well-seeded clues, coupled with lovely character development and apt descriptions and turns of phrases. I was introduced to this author’s work in a college Brit Lit course, and I’m so happy to revisit his work on Audible, lo these many years later. Highly recommend!

Interesting
Interesting plot with lots of great side details. Such as the great sensitivity shown to the emotional toll of physical differences. I disliked the amount of sadism and brutality in the book, just skipped over as much of that as possible.
