Another fantastic read in this standalone series! I absolutely loved the narrators for this one, and any mix of suspense and romance is going to be a great read! Definitely recommend this standalone!

Second Chance Romance in the Highlands?! What can be better!

I had been eagerly and anxiously anticipating this book and it did not disappoint. Loved the way it was told in the alternating timelines between Callie and Lewis‘s past and present.

The audio narration from Shane East and Zara Hampton Brown was truly fantastic. I could listen to Shane East read just about anything, and I love how he has changed his delivery and his accents throughout the different books of the series that he’s narrated.

Northern Twilight is the 5th book in the Highland series. This is second chance, surprise baby and I love Callie Ironside and Lewis Adair. They were childhood best friends to lovers. They broke up over teenage things, which makes sense. 8 years later, Lewis and Callie have a one night stand and she becomes pregnant. They never not loved each other, and neither moved on. Callie is a badass and Lewis is protective but knows her worth. I love the plot, the romance, and the 3rd act conflict!

Great story! I love the details of the family and their lives growing up! Samantha Young is one of the greatest !

More please!

Disclosure, I've managed to inhale all five books in the series over the last 3 days. All credit to Samantha Young for writing such an engaging series, and to Shane East and Zara Hampton-Brown for their brilliant narration.

It's been wonderful following each of the characters in this series navigate their way towards happiness, and wow for a small town they're a magnet for trouble. No cliches in this series, just really well developed characters, lovely Scottish accents, strong men and women and a tight-knit community (with the occasional pain points).

Lovely stuff. Get on it.

I liked how it showed that relationships need communication. The family ties are wonderful.

decent story. I had a hard time getting into this story at first. it was hard to understand the accent and the way of the words used.

Callie and Lewis, a beautiful love

Always only ever you! I loved this book. Callie and Lewis have a beautiful love from the time they were 10 years old. With past trauma comes mistakes and miscommunication. But their HEA is so sweet and, for me, pure. Beautifully written and exquisitely narrated.

excellent narration for this beautiful story!! I loved learning about Callie and Lewis as grown ups! This was a nonstop listen, clutching my heart throughout!

Growth

The author did a good job aging Callie & Louis as we knew them as kids in previous books. Lovely story, except I’d like Gabriel’s portion to have been more detailed. I enjoyed hearing of all the other characters I am familiar with.
