Another stellar novel

My 3rd book by Ms. Greenwood. Characters, dialogue, plot always make me think. Her novels stay with you.

I LOVE BRYN GREENWOOD!

Amazing narration. Killer suspense. I didn't want to stop listening! I loved this entire book from start to finish. I didn't want it to end. I loved all of the characters so much. Bryn does so amazing at making you feel best friends with her characters, and this book is no different. As it got closer to the end, I got more and more sad knowing it was going to end. But so happy and proud if Beatrice. 🥲

Another Amazing Bryn Greenwood Novel

The narration is perfection! This is truly one of the best voice actors I have listened to, if not the best. Bryn Greenwood is a master of exploring complicated people in complicated situations. She is my favorite author and each book she writes draws me in more and more. The complexities are handled with care and lack of judgment.

Bingeworthy

I can't say enough good things about this book. Yes, it has a lot of trigger warnings, but it's so well-written that even those difficult moments blend seamlessly into the story that I couldn't stop reading. It’ll leave a pit in your stomach at times, and I've been thinking a lot about this book and its circumstances over the past few days since I read it.

Never got old

Don’t write many reviews, but Loved this book, beginning to end! Hoping for book 2.

A profound, gripping story!!!

There are no words for how perfectly executed this book was. Please know that this is SO MUCH MORE than a psychological thriller, it broke my heart a million times and somehow I loved it the more I kept reading. Every single character played such a pivotal role in the plot, the character development, the outcome, everything. The narrator was perfect for this story and gave each character their own believable voice.
This will without a doubt be my top "thriller" read of 2025, and honestly it might be one of my top favorite books of all time. I want to give all of these characters a hug. My goodness. I need a second to emotionally recover from this profound, heartbreaking story.

Dark Masterpiece

I loved this book! Definitely dark subject matter with triggers, but Bryn Greenwood is just amazing at writing real characters with the whole range of emotions, motivations, and flaws. The narrator is perfect. This is one I'll listen to over again.

Another Good One

Though this story wasn't exactly what I expected, it was still very entertaining. Not the gory, brutal kidnapping storyline but more personal and character driven. If you are familiar with Bryn Greenwoods previous works then you know what I am talking about. And if you are not familiar with her previous works, you should get familiar. This is definitely worth a listen.
