Unconventional presentation of solid information
Experienced-based, common-sense advice. Good for a first overview. Covers a large range of topics. More entertaining to listen to than most books on the topic: Less like a manual, more like a conversation with a friend that swears a lot. As a female self-defense instructor that has also lived in rough social environments I agree with most, but not all of the authors opinions. I wasn't offended when I disagreed, because the advice came across as a experienced-based opinion and not as speaking with absolute authority. I liked the emphasis on knowing the risks of your actions and making informed decisions on which risks to take.

Wow, I feel so much more prepared and confident being alone
This audiobook was amazing. I have had this deep terrifying fear of being alone in the dark and this book just gave me so much more confidence. So many tools, realistic and no bullshit advice. I need this author in my life
