Great f******g book! (I used this expletive on purpose)

This book is terrific. The author and narrator are perfect. This is a MUST listen to book for anyone who is not offended by language. Very well written and analogies/examples are spectacular. The narrator speech and delivery have the perfect blend of sarcasm and reality. I will add this author and narrator to my book list.

What it is to be a peace officer

Extremely informative, interesting details about what police learn while on the job, but more importantly what it is like to be a police officer and the different situations, attitudes, and choices a police officer must deal with. This isn’t a police manual but it does a very good job of revealing the decisions an officer must make while doing their job, and the realities an officer must face when they sign up to be a peace officer serving the public good, in a world with a lot of gray. Truely could change a persons opinion on how police function and the choices they have to make. After reading this book it would be hard not to respect the people who become police in the United States. A tough job with little respect, many agendas to watch out for, but if it wasn’t for the people who take this role, everyone would be much less safe and secure.

You will laugh often. You may get teary-eyed. But these stories will stay with you. Highly recommended.

Great book!

I already have an appreciation for the police force, but after this book I have a much better idea of the things they go through each and every day. My respect for the badge has gone up tenfold. And my judgment of the men in blue is filled with respect and empathy. It may be a thin blue line but my respect for the cops as thickened.

Very interesting and insightful

I really enjoyed it and couldnt stop listening until the end. The narration is very clear and fluent. I loved the stories and the detailed descriptions were objective but still insightful.

A really quick read

This book had no wasted words in it, at times it would have been good to have more explanation. But I found that there were things I had not thought about, it made me think how dangerous it is to be a cop.

Interesting book regarding cops

Overall I thought this book gave very good insight into what it would really be like to work as a cop. The book was interesting and fun to listen to. I would recommend.

All citizens should read/listen to this book. A must read for anyone wanting to go into police work.
