I didn’t connect with the FMC

And the MMC didn’t really act like an alpha character. I almost stopped at Chapter 10. I feel like the FMC came in strong right away. Not in a strong character but more like a needy person and assumed that he needs to explain everything to her - like he owes her anything b
I don’t have an issue with insta-love, I like those but it doesn’t work in this book. At some point it felt like she’s manipulating the MMC.

Fell flat

Good premise and wanted to like but the nanny is pretty annoying. She is hot and cold, way snotty and high and mighty. Lacks depth and development.

Second Read on this one

I loved this story and the characters. Beautiful little adventure for the female lead but great roles for the others as well. Fun shifter heroes and romance.

I’m annoyed

Honestly I couldn’t even finish this read the baby sitter was so annoying. Like girl if you gon fwh then do that instead of being hot and cold & also making snarky ass comments like he was the only one interested, but at the same time he was entertaining and accepting it. Just all around annoying asf

good plot

I really liked. Storyline was good and you didn't know what to expect. can't wait to read the next in the series.

this reads like a YA book that someone re-marketed with sex scenes

basic almost AI-written story with abrupt chapter changes and scripted sex scenes. nonsense female POV with contradictions throughout. read only if it's free and have nothing else to pass the time.

Is chemistry in the book with us?

Is chemistry between the main characters in the book with us? Because I can’t find it. Bland. Bland. Bland. Molly usually brings the sizzle but this one was so tame and quite frankly boring. There was a lot of “telling us what was happening” instead of immersing us in the sights/sounds/smells etc. I stopped at chapter 48. DNF.
This was probably a fluke. Don’t give up on this author.

narrator was good

story line was good. narrators were great. the story did feel a little rushed but over all I recommend it.

Story is not consistent with authors’ norm. Narration was insistent.

I have read/listened to most of Milly Taiden’s books. Although, historically some are better than others, this story was clearly not up to Taiden’s standards. The plot was thin and the characters had very little depth. It’s almost as if someone else authored the book. Furthermore the 2 narrators were inconsistent with each other when discussing the name of one of the main characters. The child’s name was read as: Aleena, Elaina, and Alaina. Pick one name — any one —and stick with it throughout the book. Also, “wrecked havoc” and “reeked havoc” are not the same. And this was not the only mispronunciation. It’s like the narrators failed to pre-read the book before recording. I know this is nit picking, but I expected more and felt jipped.

Good story

Good performances. Interesting plot and characters. The end dragged out with details about the HEA that almost all HEAs have but more succinctly.
