When their worlds finally collide via a tour stop in Seattle, the story pivots from one-sided idolization to a tender, mutual romance. The story explores both men’s emotional vulnerabilities—Samuel’s earnest hope and Jay’s internal battle with loneliness and the constraints of being a closeted celebrity. This encounter shatters the invisible barrier between celebrity and fan, and what unfolds is an intense connection neither expected.

James seamlessly shifts between the two—capturing Samuel’s bashful sweetness and Jay’s deep, commanding presence. His nuanced delivery elevates every flirtatious exchange and vulnerable confession, making the romantic tension palpable. He brings the characters’ longing, desire, and growth to vivid life—turning the audiobook into a memorable experience. I can’t say enough about Jame’s talent, range, and his ability to make the most subtle nuances resonate with the listener. One of my top favorite narrators, hands down.

My Obsession is a swoon-worthy, emotionally charged romance that shines in audio. This is my first book by Jade Grey, and it will definitely not be my last. Amazing talent.

Jay and Sam were just what I needed. This book was a light and sweet story. Narration was perfection.

Short and steamy

This was a nice short audio. It is a bit insta love and gets right to the steam. James Joseph does great. I hadn’t heard his American accent before, but he does well. This was my first book from this author and I enjoyed it.

He captured Samuel’s sincerity and awe with a gentle, almost bashful tone… and then seamlessly transformed into Jay’s deep, commanding rockstar rasp. The tension between the two came alive through James’s voice work, making every flirtation, every breathy pause, every stolen moment feel.

Honestly? This wasn’t just a romance—it was an experience.

Loved It!

I was not expecting this book to be as sweet or as spicy as it is. It's a qick listen but there's still plot and character growth. James Joseph was a fantastic choice as the narrator and really brings Jay and Samuel to life. This will be added to my collection of books I constantly relisten to.
