It kept me "turning the pages" so to speak.
The plot had twists and turns but not those aggravating hidden ones. Plenty of back stories and interesting characters, which I hope to see I. future books.

A really, REALLY great series
A new favorite and is totally binge-worthy! And wow! I love the surprises, the complexity of the mysteries as they unfold, and I really love the heroine. She is strong but human. She’s worked hard for the respect she achieves as the series progresses. She’s smart but not in the ridiculous faux-Sherlock manner some series writers employ. She makes mistakes, but not silly ones as some protagonists do. I also like the people in her inner circle because they enrich her character, add humor and play a huge roll in the unfolding of each story. I can tell this is one series I’m going to keep hitting the search in Audible to see when the next books are released.

I do like this series
I do like this series. All the characters are some of my favorites... accept Posie, she is frustrating. However I will continue listening to the rest of the series again because of the happy endings 🙃
