**Things I didn’t expect this year:**

1. Elizabeth becoming ensnared in an international incident. (Coincidence? I think not.)

2. Having to balance my mission with my feelings. (I’m not prepared.)

3. The burning need to protect Elizabeth from looming danger while she still despises me. (Old habits.)

4. Europe on the brink of war... again. (Timing is everything.)

5. Realizing the only way forward is to confront our past. (I could use a sign.)

In a world teetering on war, can a gentleman set on deciphering international secrets and a governess wrapped up in her own tumultuous saga find their way back to each other?

audio messed up a bit but the story is fun

the audio skips in a few places but it's not horrible. other than that the story is pretty fun and enjoyable. not the best variation I've heard of read but it's far from the worst.

enjoyable

I enjoyed the story, but felt like it wasn't quite true to OG Darcy and Elizabeth. The recording was grainy and had a bit of echo in parts, but the voice acting was great.

The girls!!

I got the ebook and audiobook and Alix James and Stevie Zimmerman have done it again on their partnership for an excellent adventure/mystery story. Is this story far fetched- yes but it’s a fun and enjoyable ride! The girls are a perfect fit and love how everything turned out. Oh you will laugh hard at a drugged Lizzy and how she acted with Darcy. Will I read or listen again- absolutely!

Cute & Romantic Darcy and Lizzy

Fast moving, low angst, frolic of a P&P Variation. Darcy is much more passionate, but then so is Lizzy (but nothing Too Much). I love the girls and Elizabeth’s interaction with them. It was interesting to have this variation set on Elba with Napoleon for part of the story. Stevie Z is perfect from Darcy to Elizabeth to each of the children and even Napoleon!

Great storyline

Great storyline narration as always. Had several recording hiccups which is why I lowered one star. But otherwise, a great listen!

audio needs repaired

There is one chapter where you miss part of the story...besides that I really liked the story!
